J. Phillip Wilkins, the composer for “Bob Gurr: LBD”, gave our documentary a wonderful score with whimsical names like “Viva El Gurr!”, “A Is For Autopia”, “Holly Jolly Gurrmas” and “Jolly Rogurr”. Jon is also a member of the band The Postmarks and a filmmaker friend from middle school.

It was a wonderful lunchtime lecture by author/animator Ken Bruce about Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. Disney Legend Bob Gurr was there along with other luminaries like Tania McKnight Norris, Howard Green and Floyd Norman.
On July 17th, our doc "Bob Gurr: Living By Design" will make its broadcast premiere. Thanks to PBS SoCal. "To celebrate the 71st anniversary of the opening of Disneyland, PBS SoCal has put together a night of Disney magic, profiling Disney legends and lore.

I can't lie. Seeing Original Trilogy characters in Galaxy's Edge made me smile.
Yesterday, we made a quick jaunt to Palm Springs and The Shag Store where Shag's latest work "Mary Blair, Beyond Compare" was made available to the public. We also did some light filming for the Mary Blair documentary currently in production.
There are over 3,000 Andean tubers and Peruvian roots. Who wants to do a Peru Potato Taster?

Okay, it's time we talk about the sculpts for Hall of Presidents at WDW. It's not so much the sculpts that don't look like the real men. It's the wigs. Look at Clinton. Look at Carter. And the modern presidents... these sculptures are pretty much nightmare fuel. What do you think we should do?

A few months back, I had the honor of meeting cinematographer Michael Ferris. Michael has an iconic filmography having worked with the likes of John Cassavetes and so many other big names in cinema. Most important to me… he worked with Orson Welles on “The Other Side Of The Wind” and more.
Why is this filmmaker smiling? Because his documentary "Bob Gurr: Living By Design" will have its broadcast premiere on PBS SoCal. Watch this space for an official air date (sometime this Summer) and more details soon.
