One of my greatest disappointments is that Tyler Perry has the opportunity to make great movies, based on true stories, that would truly add to Black American - hell, American history and culture. And is content to parlay his talents into phoned-in, banal morality plays.
For some reason, I am extremely unconvinced that Hamas has agreed to disarm. First, given that FOTUS has said it, I am predisposed to think that this is a lie. Second, given the virulent feelings involved on both sides, I am doubtful that there's any form of good faith in this "deal".
There's nothing quite as amusing as someone criticizing the casting of a movie based on a work of fiction* as though it was based on real life. Looking at you, Trekkies, Star Wars obsessives, and newfound classics scholars. And Musk, of course. (*ditto reboots and franchises)

The thing that amuses and annoys is to see people complain that "Bluesky doesn't have the reach/immediacy/relevance of the Other Place". Sure. If you aren't encouraging your political leaders, media houses, government agencies and emergency services to use it, what the hell do you expect?
A mischievous thought: If Mitch McConnell is being held against incommunicado against his will, some enterprising Democrat might consider going for habeus corpus to have Mitch brought before a court to determine the status and nature of his confinement. As I said. Mischievous.

I'm slightly confused about this Saudi nuclear deal. Because it seems to presuppose two things : (a) continuity of the House of Saud, and (b) that the Saudis will remain aligned with US interests. Neither of those suppositions are guaranteed. They are an overthrow away from a big mistake.
I want the media to ask SecDrunk whether he has expressed his condolences for the death of the the female child of an immigrant amd a US citizen, who died in the service of America, in a war of choice against Iran. Or whether, because she checked all the boxes of his prejudices, he didn't bother.
So, whatcha readin'? It's summer, after all. You should be reading something good.
