There are so many more cars on the roads these days but I have to wonder if technology is making accidents more easier and common than before the cars had large touch screens, along with our smartphones. Distracted driving comes in many forms but there also has been a lot of impaired driving too.

When temperatures get to be like this I refrain from walking, typically, depending on how warm it is in the morning. If it’s cloudy I walk. If it’s sunny, I do not.
It’s so weird not seeing any tropical development happening at this time of year, like anywhere!

I have most things for painting. I need a few more items before I start. Bob Ross educated me on what I need. It is extremely difficult to find natural bristle paint brushes…..in a world where everything is fake. That’s what’s wrong in our world today. Everything is fake and made of plastic.
I have no clue what tree this is and I don’t think my phone does either! Maybe it’s a Japanese flowering crab apple but the apples don’t look like this on my larger flowering tree. Maybe a different species.

We put food out for stray cats. This cat has now claimed me. It’s too friendly to be a stray unless it has been abandoned. Time will tell. It reminds me of my Grandmothers cat Tina. I believe she was a Russian blue. I don’t think this one is but it’s a gray colour.
It’s so funny how the technology and vehicles in movies generally indicates how old they are and when they were made….. Not always but most times! 🤣🤣🤣
The yard has grown up since my sister lived here. @jkm44.bsky.social While I miss the tamarack tree, among the others that were cut for a home, we planted weeping willows, fruit trees, trees and bushes that have created a natural fence. Our yard went from being a field to becoming a forest.
Afternoon lunch/snack. Cucumber with tuna. I used to love it as lunch for school.

Well that didn’t take long. I planted different coloured lupine seeds in my pentacle garden and already some plants are growing!
As I sit here two cute plump grey rodents with tiny tails walk behind by altar by the willow trunk. I think they are meadow voles. We’ve always had them, classic signs are tunnels that run through your yard, especially in the winter. As long as they don’t nibble on my toes they can stay!🤣🤣🤣
That moment when you take both hummingbird feeders down to clean them is when the hummingbird decides to visit. It flew around the lid to the feeder, going underneath it and around it, then landed on a nearby branch. Poor thing probably got confused when its big plastic flower went missing!😬😭

My summer berry harvest from my yard! The blueberry bush is doing quite well and because it’s usually surrounded by the lupines which get heavily pollinated by the bees so it’s a win win situation for everyone! Still lots of unripened berries to pick. I trimmed the lupines back now for the season.
