@filrakow.ski telling us how to ensure our developer future! Great insights on the current market too! Very interesting with great tips to accelerate yourself as a developer!
I saw www.trae.ai and it made me wonder if really we need another AI VS Code fork... Windsurf is completely enough. Even Cursor probably is but I just had skill issues with it.
Trae - Ship Faster with Trae
Trae is an adaptive AI IDE that transforms how you work, collaborating with you to run faster.

It's crazy how many low quality companies are our there. Just saw something that is YC backed and could be built with a few prompts.
Huh, it's been a while since I was on social apps (and I recommend everyone taking a break from time to time). How is bsky doing? Still getting dev traction?
I can't believe that you need to pay for analytics to check who has viewed your document in Confluence
I don't recall what I was doing on February 20th, 2019 but it looks like I achieved my peak productivity on that day 😅
People talk a lot about building products with AI, but I think we don't talk enough about using AI to replace imperative workflows. There is so much potential for things like extensibility, project scaffolding, etc. Hundreds of ifs can just retire!
Still doing the thing. I'm legitimately no longer an adult. I went beck in time.
Time off status - installed World of Warcraft
Two weeks without work and work -related stuff and it feels like it's been a month. Good to be back tho. Doing adult stuff is not as bad as they say
Two days of tests and I like it a lot! Properly setting up global/project instructions is a game-changer. You can bake in all conventions, context etc there which makes AI suggestions 10x better. UI is also nicer than in Cursor. Though I wouldn't say any available editor is noticeably better.
Let's see if this Windsurf is any better than Cursor 🕵️
I'm in Zara rn and I literally cannot tell if I am looking at men or women part of the store. It's been a while since I felt so lost.
The guy in the grocery store just wished me a good weekend and now I want my good weekend
I can't believe that the only way to make ChatGPT call an API endpoint is by extracting the call parameters from the answer and doing it programmatically. It doesn't feel safe at all
Is it only me seeing this or the number of new people joining from web dev slowed down (I mostly "measure" by followers count growth). Does it mean we have the critical mass already or that we failed to convince more people? 🤔
2025 is gonna be a wonderful time for bad mediocre manager takes: Better deliver this task without problems this time because I have three Devins waiting to do it for a fraction of your salary.
Is building your own AI agent framework new "building your own CMS"? It seems to me that a lot of people does it right now
First days after coming back from vacation is always traumatic. Let the catch-up game begin ☠️
Starting a conversation with someone you don't know yet can be hard.... ...so I created BlueSpark to help break the ice! This app will ... ... use AI to scan profiles & latest messages to find common interests and topics. ... generate a personalized message you can customize. bluespark.gui.do
And now thanks to the contribution made by @userquin.bsky.social it also works on Windows! I appreciate a lot fixing my mistakes 😅 github.com/filrak/astro...
fix: copying layers on Windows OS (2) by userquin · Pull Request #3 · filrak/astro-layers
This PR also includes a protection to avoid copying layers when running preview command. @filrak did you run eslint in your local? @antfu/eslint-config not using semi gh layer not tested on my loca...

Experimental support for external sources (git/npm) just landed in @astro.build Layers package 🚀 I think all that I have left before releasing a stable version is better handling of file additions/deletions. It's a bit clunky rn. Sounds like a good plan for the evening. github.com/filrak/astro...
