I'm really excited for this one - quiet psychological horror on a narrow boat in Northern England is such a unique concept, and the game is simply beautiful and brimming with atmosphere. If you haven't checked out Mayfly yet I'd very much recommend trying out the demo and wishlisting!

🎶 Yay! Pleased to confirm the music for Mayfly will be composed by the amazing @finnpaul.bsky.social! 🎶 Check him out: buff.ly/6MmY4Ld You can hear an early concept track in the demo which is currently live on #steam: buff.ly/L8eERwQ #gamedev #gamesoundtrack #indiegame #steamdemo

A photo I took of a train driver on-route to Sapporo, Hokkaido. Japanese trains are fantastically aesthetic! This one was just a single carriage lugging its way through the snow

The ANZ Indie Showcase was a great show! Check out some of our highlights from the showcase! Thanks again to @theindiebrew.com.au and @theindiexp.bsky.social for putting on a great show! This is just the start for the ANZ region 💙💙 gamesnight.nz/the-anz-indi...

#3 - Reference tracks are always great. Ideally 3-4 pieces of music that the decision makers for the project all like. Double points if some of these are from a game in the same genre (though wildcards can always be fun too!)

#2 - If I can't play your game (very understandable) then it's great to have access to any videos/artwork (even if concept) to have available as I'm writing. I love to be as much in the atmosphere of your game as I can whilst I'm writing, and composers/visual artists can even inform one another

Tips to Game Devs for good communication with composers #1 (thanks @just-write-studios.itch.io for the prompt) - please let me play your game if possible (no matter how early doors). Understanding pace/vibe/art direction of game via actual gameplay is invaluable and means I can aim to compliment

Gamers of Bluesky, what kinds of behind the scenes composery things would you be interested in seeing? I'm having such a fun time working with @ratmode.games composing for their beautiful & cute as heck cozy game, Soggy Beans. I hope to document some of the process as I'm making the music

Hi lovely new BlueSky followers - great to be here! I am some rando Scot who composes for Indie games, writes folk music and photographs things. I could type more but perhaps better to kick things off with a cat pic (because even tho better than x it is still the internet?) #photographs #composer
