Iceland is also in the single market and Schengen. The English govt at Westminster also had those options but is too arrogant and isolationist to do anything to mitigate the damage they cause us all.

The main things that would help the world navigate its way out of the impending climate catastrophe are trust, diplomacy and fair trading as they all help encourage & develop the move to green energy. Trump & Putin are joint, and some might say linked, vandals in their attack on all three.

At midnight the U.S. will implement a 50% tariff on ~$28 billion of Canadian goods, and now, Canada will match it dollar-for-dollar.
The Welsh approach is well worth studying, very much an engaging national discussion which seems to have stalled here in Scotland
