A lot of you furries stopped growing up after high school

Looking into things, I might pivot to a "simpler" game to learn Blender, Godot, ArmorPaint, Krita, etc. While I technically "know" how to do 80% of what I need to do (to various degrees), tools have changed SO MUCH and I'm realizing I will need to adapt first instead of learning-on-the-go.

Not gonna lie, as someone with a fursuit that'll be 22 years old next month, and still wears it from time to time and barely gets any interactions at cons because it's "not cool" like the new ones? Love this idea/concept. What a way to honor the community's past to celebrate where we are today! <3

Addendum: So finding out that a lot of the information available only focuses on keyboard shortcuts, but utterly FAILS to mention menu/toolbar options (if available) doesn't help this feeling. Some stuff is hidden in menus, or literally has a different shortcut depending if you're in a tool or not.

Don't say that's impossible - that was how my first programming teacher would grade our homeworks in 1999. So I know it's real. And it's also EXACTLY how it feels to learn Blender for me, right now. Took me a while to figure out WHY I was feeling so horrible learning it, and I just figured it now.

Imagine going to school to learn coding. The way the teacher corrects your work is that they open their code on the left, and yours on the right. Every time a line is different, a variable is named differently... they deduct points. Your grade reflects how closely your code is to theirs.

I want to wash dragons so I can record myself talking to dragons so I can record myself voicing the dragons. And the kobold washer.

Right, so today I learned that while DaVinci Resolve is really good as a video editor (I'm liking it more than my old Adobe Premiere Pro), the integrated Fairlight isn't an audio recorder app. Need something external for that. I'll look more into it... tomorrow. Because now? Cribtime. :x

Friend did a single playthrough of the dragon washing game for me so I could see what it is like - not really my "usual fare" when it comes to games. I had a lot of fun... making the voices.
