Had a lovely day in Cornwall deploying the BRUV getting some gilthead bream, red mullet and loads of grey triggerfish! I'm working through the footage but will release some footage soon.

I think cuckoo wrasse are up their as one of the most stunning fish we have in UK waters with the larger males having a wonderful mix of yellows, blues and oranges.

You might of heard of golden tench but did you know you can get white or sometimes called blue tench also? This was one I photographed at Anglers Paradise a few years ago.
I Normally have to travel for filming fish but today it’s the garden pond!
Filming in a local pond recently it was really nice to see tench, some crucians and even a spined loach makes a cameo !

Visited Wildwood Kent yesterday great collection of native species including an adder enclosure with some juveniles basking.
Found something interesting what I think is a continental grass snake (natrix natrix) in Kent where as most British grass snakes are barred grass snakes (Natrix helvetica)
Did you know that in Dungeness, Kent we have a population of Mediterranean Stick Insects! I’ve seen some of the Cornish ones in the past but they are from New Zealand originally.
