Just got back from opening weekend of the VA Ren Faire -- I had the best weekend of sales ever. I sold multiple art pieces and many cups. The mimics did well, and my heart is so full right now. Stress and imposter syndrome will come for me eventually, but right now all I have is exhaustion and joy.

The kiln goblins have claimed their toll. I have to drive my greenware to the kiln I share with another artist, which means that sometimes I lose a piece before it ever reaches the kiln. My home LARP does a fundraiser every year and I donate a custom mug voucher. This year's winner went into bisque yesterday, so I want to show it off while it cools and I wait to find out if that braided handle cracks. 🙃

Some more lovelies from the last kiln! These were an exercise in throwing thin -- the goal was 5" x 3", 12 oz of clay. It was a fun exercise and helped me really get a feel for how thin the clay can get under my hands before I lose it. Also, my studio has nothing pretty *and* useful for scale in it.
