Yo @mlb.com this fucking sucks, keep this rancid shit away from me! Also, have you forgotten what happens when baseball gets in bed with gamblers, you historically ignorant bozos?

Five Songs reaches 2001, which...I'm not going to talk about That. Instead, I complain about commutes, posit a taxonomy for Fugazi records, mention US Maple and Unwound, and damn, there were some good-ass records in 2001. www.fiverandomsongs.com/posts/2026/f...

Five Songs visits 2002, a year when I was laid off for the first time. We also contemplate a great Blackalicious record, my favorite People Under The Stairs album, and somehow Sharon Jones's debut. www.fiverandomsongs.com/posts/2026/f...

Five Songs (which I forgot to post yesterday) visits 2003, including some reminiscing on Einstürzende Neubauten in a very unhelpful form. Also, my favorite Calexico record. Note: since I wrote this, the entry for Feedbacker has been fixed. www.fiverandomsongs.com/posts/2026/f...

I say this reposted into my feed, clicked through, and was sad that I had missed it because it looks really neat. It was about then that I figured out that actually I had backed it and completely forgotten. Anyway, I love giving myself presents in the future.
Psst. www.swordswithoutmaster.com backers, check your updates for a thrilling sneak peek!

Five Songs is up! 2004 is contemplated, and nothing comes to mind. A year that for sure happened and for which I have no real markers. I'm sure I'm forgetting something! Also, some EPs, De La Soul, and Silkworm. All this and five random songs as well! www.fiverandomsongs.com/posts/2026/f...

Five Songs is out! 2005 wasn't much different from 2006, life-wise, and so I talk about records. A chance encounter in a record store changed my taste and I have an unpopular opinion on a band. www.fiverandomsongs.com/posts/2026/f...

Five Songs, in which boring jobs are contemplated and I wrote about an incredibly mainstream record because I want to. Also, I just found a typo and I'm not going to fix it. Quality is job #17! www.fiverandomsongs.com/posts/2026/f...

The ads on the MLB audio feeds are shabby, cynical, and grotesque, as befits ownership's priorities. The Kalshi ad I just heard would still stand out even were it a "normal" ad. But it was sweatily teasing the Knicks at 37%, adding "extremely expired" to its impressive list of faults.
Plane just touched down during the peak of the crescendo of Krallice's "Monolith of Possession", so I think I need to figure out where I can buy a pack of smokes in Sea-Tac.
