When Madonna and Michael Jackson both toured Japan in 1987, neither played Nagoya. Even the Nozomi bullet train initially passed through the city without stopping when it debuted in 1992, only adding a Nagoya stop in 1997.

this sounds more negative than i feel about the reveal because i am scared they will be too reverent in a way that makes the final product feel even more unnecessary than it inherently is. but actually on its face im kinda excited. im glad the one in-engine shot we got was just a new vibe entirely
