my partner suggested that if #glitchprod really wanted to get funding from merch sales, they had the opportunity to do something cool, like selling OOAK production art or unique sketches from the art teams. posters, paper stickers, zines or art books... all cheaper to produce & easier on the enviro
the thing about #glitchprod is that they make themselves out to be this ✨haven✨ of independent animation, fueled by pure passion alone, but that's not true. they're running an extremely lucrative business model, obtaining both funding AND profit through excessive merch drops of marketable garbage
to those defending the merch made by #glitchprod for #knightsofguinevere on account of its contextual hypocrisy: reminder that if they wanted to fund the show, they could've just RUN A KICKSTARTER! just like every other successful indie animation pilot has done for the past 10 years!
