@govandybeshear.bsky.social With heavy disappointment I agree with the assessment of this post on Governor Beshear. There is a severe lack of tough fighters in the Democratic Party. Neither the minority leader in the Senate nor the House has publicly called for Mitch to account. Humiliating.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear has the constitutional authority to temporarily appoint someone to fill Mitch McConnell’s seat. If GOP lawmakers want to challenge that, they can do so. This will be the first big test to see whether Beshear really is presidential material. I hope he passes the test.
It feels like we're all pretty much waiting for news that Mitch McConnell has been irreversibly incapacitated or dead for weeks and the GOP has been doing their damnedest to keep it covered up.

It’s sad that Trump is spending today attacking Senator Jon Ossoff on social media. Every holiday over the past few years has been filled with angry, divisive, and inflammatory posts instead of messages meant to bring Americans together. We miss having a leader who showed dignity, class, and grace!
Trump is not the cause of this. He’s the ugly malignancy that has grown out of a political party that lost its collective mind decades ago. Citizens who think of themselves as Christians or otherwise good people should consider who they are standing with when they vote Republican.
