In honour of all those computers still running after 30 years, I’ve released a new edition of the website designed to work on legacy browsers. It uses a 90s‑style design, built with HTML 2 and plain HTTP. blink.copetti.org
Amazon will offer the option to download eBooks directly as EPUB and PDF, as long as the seller doesn't include DRM. Well, I've never included DRM in mine, so the Architecture of Consoles eBooks will offer these options asap www.kdpcommunity.com/s/article/Ne...
I've revamped the GBA article with new info about backwards compatibility, hidden modes in the PPU (which I suspect they were meant for a stereoscopic mode, a la 3DS) and the wonders of the Link cable. This is to prepare for an upcoming book release. www.copetti.org/writings/con...

I see a lot of people talking about it but no documented specs anywhere (only percentages by Apple). I'm most interested in whether they've finally implemented the Scalable Vector Extension (SVE) to unlock better support from the compiler (www.phoronix.com/news/Apple-M...)
Apple M4 Support Added To The LLVM Compiler, Confirming Its ISA Capabilities
Apple compiler engineers have contributed Apple M4 CPU support to the upstream LLVM/Clang compiler via the new -mcpu=apple-m4 target

I've extended the PlayStation 2 article to talk about the PowerPC inside Slim models. I thought it was just a simple CPU along with an emulator to run PS1 games, but it's the weirdest SoC I've ever seen. Thanks svk77 for reporting this. www.copetti.org/writings/con...

I've been busy experimenting with a new medium that a lot of people have been asking me: An actual book! I think I found a nice balance and I really like the result. Soon I'll be sharing it with friends and supporters to gather more feedback before making it public
I've spent the last weeks improving the build scripts of the website, eBooks and PDFs. Now, hyperlinks in translated articles point to the article of the same language (if available) and PDFs display useful footnotes. This will become handy for producing a physical book!
As promised, here is a new article: PlayStation Vita (Part 1). Enjoy! www.copetti.org/writings/con...
