Weather app showing "Extreme Warning for High Temperature" in Berlin. For 30°C!? I came back from 37-38, and had my first night of decent sleep in weeks…

So, Claude has a /stickers command to order stickers. And it goes to Sticker Mule of all places? Talk about picking partners 🤦
Looks like Apple has an upcoming series based on Neuromancer. After what they did with Foundation, I think I'll pass.
Based on the last trailer, I honestly wonder what's the plot for Dune 3. It's clear that they moved too far apart from the books at this point.
The dignity and moral authority expected of a head of state… The man has been upset since the picture with the pointed finger, and he's not letting it go. It tells a lot about the type of person he is.
Fender a few weeks ago decided to sue other guitar manufacturers for infringing on the Strat body style. Their CEO trying to explain the dick move to distributors made things even worse. That's going as well as anyone could have imagined […]

Out for a bike ride this morning, barely escaped a massive storm on my way back. Stork nest on a pointy roof was not something I expected to see. Pictures are not great at this distance, but there were a couple of storks in the nest.
Wait, Ezra Klein and Nick Thompson (The Atlantic) are on Thiel's list? At this point, not completely suprised to see Peter Attia in the group. https://github.com/nzaki-dev/dialog
Fun fact: "trillion" (en) and "trilione" (Italian) are two wildly different numbers. A "trillion" is "bilione" in italian. https://www.terminologiaetc.it/2026/06/13/differenza-trillionaire-inglese-trilionario-italiano/

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. Since the first one didn't work […]

So, mob shitting on maintainer of Open Source project is suddenly OK because…LLMs?
Gemini in Google Sheets remains one of the most useless pieces of technology I've encountered.
I randomly decided to test nasal strips the last couple of nights, and I don't remember the last time I slept so well. If I didn't look like an idiot, I would probably wear them the whole day, since they seem to fix my congestion problems.
I confess I don't know much about Kevin O'Leary. After hearing him talk in a podcast about IA, China, eating-baby robots, a series of very unflattering adjectives comes to mind. “Disconnected from reality” is one gracious way to put it. He also feels like the perfect product of Trumpism.
OK #Firefox users, this is a special request. I'm looking for someone with a high-end Raptor Lake machine that is experiencing instability in Firefox (or anything else for the matter). The best candidate is a CPU from the 13900* SKUs. K or not doesn't matter as long as it's one with the 8P+16E […]

Read a comment on Reddit about the upcoming Firefox Settings redesign, made me chuckle: “can't find anything wrong, now I'm mad”.
Maybe it's just me, or it's because I read the book, but Project Hail Mary didn't feel as amazing as others described. It's a nice movie, but no Interstellar.
“Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die”. What a nice surprise of a movie. Strong Black Mirror vibes.
«The reported losses come five months after Trump Media announced plans to merge in a $6bn deal with a California nuclear fusion company TAE Technologies that aims to power artificial intelligence datacenters.» What!? […]

It's impressive how bad GitHub has become at running scheduled workflows. It used to be occasional minutes of delays, now I have some that run more than one hour later, and in some cases don't run at all.
Sabastian Sawe was the first person to run an official marathon under 2h (1:59:30). People who don't run might not fully understand what that speed looks like, or what's required (I think he was running 2:40/km at the end). I feel for the poor guy — Yomif Kejelcha — who arrived second at 1:59 […]

Given my timeline: Firefox is not shipping Brave's adblocker. «We are not bundling Brave's ad-blocking system, we're testing one of their open source Rust components to improve how Firefox processes tracker lists. » https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/1sttf82/comment/oi1xklx/
I'm guessing this week everybody is an expert on security bugs and CVEs.
Reminder that Mozilla has been bundling multiple memory-safety bugs under one CVE number for, *checks notes*, a couple of decades. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/advisories/mfsa2006-68/

I wonder if the sudden surge of security fix releases across packages (npm, pypi) is connected to Claude's new "offensive" capabilities.
We weren’t able to find the right match in the previous round, so we’ve refined this role. We’re now looking for engineers with strong experience building JavaScript and Python libraries, and working in the open. Localization/i18n experience is a big plus. Fully remote, ideally in Europe, but […]

20 years in, and people still rush to announce Firefox releases 24h before the actual official release, pointing to FTP servers 🤷
