My handsome dad would have been 100yrs old today.He was an adventurous, talented and clever man who opened his children’s eyes to the world. He & my beloved mum inspired, motivated and encouraged us to be successful in our chosen professions. He may be gone but never forgotten ❤️

Had the most fantastic and exciting day at Royal Ascot wearing my 40 year old vintage hat, I felt quite spoilt. So loved going to #RoyalAscot❤️

Had the most inspirational day at the BFI celebrating 20 years of screening my film Coming to England to hundreds of schoolchildren. One little girl brought tears to my eyes when she told me ‘I melted her heart after hearing me speak’. I feel truly blessed ❤️

It was very exciting delivering the #keynote speech at the Education Insights conference on #Citizenship and meeting teachers who are our children’s guardian angels. Many were my #Playschool Babies ❤️❤️

It’s 27 years now since I’ve been involved with marathon running. Yesterday I gave my annual motivational talk to @barnardos #London marathon runners with the inspirational Daley Thompson, who should be knighted for his contribution to British sport @Daley_thompson

It was great singing and rocking with my band #Vintage last night at @DingwallsLive raising money for children with cancer @GOSHCharity We rocked and I loved every moment ❤️@KMFollett

It was an honour to take part in the 45th anniversary service of the #NewCrossFire where the names of the 14 young victims were read out and candles lit in their memories. It was very emotional and they should never be forgotten. We live in hope that the crime will be solved🙏🏾

Thought for the evening: ‘Don’t try too hard to please everyone or to prove yourself…Just Be!’ That was one of the best pieces of advice a wise man gave me years ago. Keep smiling with hope in your heart ♥️
