My pet theory is when a good actor plays a bad actor they are pulling from some primorial memory of the mistakes they made when starting out. It's like the actor's tail bone.
What's your favorite performance of an actor playing a bad actor?
This is the biggest reason why this thing sticks to people. It will never say "I don't know" or give you a measured repsonse. It will without fail give you *an* answer, even if it's made up, and since you go in looking for an answer there's a reasonable chance you'll just accept it.
like, it seems just true enough to believe it, I guess, which is one thing, but as a science communicator, we trust that he wouldn't just believe what AI told him, because it is so notorious for making up facts like glue sandwiches with such confidence, ie glue sandwiches, and that is a him thing
I think the AI craze seems like one of the many other market bubbles when you look at it up close, but will be remembered as something closer to one of those cases where a government makes deals with drug cartels to get a group of people it doesn't like destructively addicted to drugs.
Dark Sun is a fictional setting taking place in a heat-ridden desert planet where metals are sought-after priceless materials controlled by death cults, and the selfish use of destructive power kills what little life exists around it.
lol past me you silly little fool have fun combing through your knowledge base for what you got from hank green and look for better sources on all of it
Information spreading was never fully reliable but god is it a mess now. Any tidbit you get from people needs a screening process of where that info comes from. People just share stuff, no one's gonna volunteer an asterisk that they asked cgpt about it or glanced through a headline on facebook.
They may sound radical but I genuinely believe the existence literally all of organized sports is less important than the basic comfort of trans folk. I will shoot Messi myself if it means it would stop this stupid non-debate.
Just like you can't request a refund if you played more than 2 hours, you shouldn't be able to leave a negative review if you played more than 50 hours. Steam should give a "C'mon Man" error message.
Very good thread! To throw my hat in the ring, here's why I think TTRPGs think they must do this.
What's the deal with games needing monsters you can kill with no remorse? I keep seeing TTRPGs touting this in their marketing ... There was Obojima, a while back; now Deathbringer with its pig-faced orcs. I genuinely don't get this! What desire is being served here---and whose? 1/
I don't think there is a single company whose gameplay has been recreated by random indie devs with 1% of the budget more than Nintendo.
Shigeru Miyamoto thinks people don't care about console specs that much anymore, believes Nintendo instead provides "gameplay that only we can create" www.eurogamer.net/shigeru-miya...
I swear few things annoy me more than people seeing videos of pandas falling over and commenting "no wonder they're endangered" Their numbers dropped because of climate change and habitat loss!! They were doing fine we did that to them!!! Why we victim blaming fucking pandas???
