Went on a date last night. Had a great time. He’s so funny, and smart, and thoughtful. We went bowling (I won 💁🏾♂️). Then we went to Penns Landing. He kissed me and I realized that the the first time I’dever kissed another man in public. It was beautiful. Can’t wait to see him again.

I feel the same way about the notion that Black Queer Men are always more educated, in better shape, and make more money than our cishet counterparts that I do about the notion that all Black Men are packing. Though well intended, it’s actually very fetishy and dehumanizing.

Confession: I don’t like parties. I didn’t really go when I was younger (largely because of strict religious upbringing). But even when I got old enough to make that decision for myself I didn’t really go. Mostly because I was always too uncomfortable in my body.
