Miles "Tails" Prower (he/him for the character, she/her for the writer) Sidekick, inventor, mechanic, engineer, sometimes a roboticist, etc etc. <parody account, not affiliated with SEGA. this tails and his writer are both adults>

Day three... following up with the results of yesterday's tests. I was able to successfully deplete a drive at an accelerated rate to fill a battery. The energy has been converted in a way it better interface with my machinery and is far more efficient than just running off the drive by itself.

Day two of observing the Chaos Drives more intimately. I've moved to my lab in the Mystic Ruins, where I have much more room underground. The test chamber is reinforced, and I am high above and away from it for my own safety. I will begin with observing the energy's effects on other materials.

// should throw it out there that i ditched the shitpost account. realized i was just trying to capitalize on the success of that eggman bsky account (which is infinitely funnier than what i can do) and i have much more fun playing tails like this

OKAY that's enough for today. I was slowly overclocking the converter to gauge how fast it would drain under a heavy workload, and things seemed fine. After a certain threshold, the drive went from stable to ballistic and the damn thing SHATTERED and breached the test chamber. Glass everywhere.

Much like they did with the old G.U.N. machines, the Chaos Drives make for very good batteries. A single drive seems to have a lot of life to it, if my monitors have anything to say about it. Haven't deduced what happens when it is drained. ...and that's all I got so far. I'm missing something here

First step is to actually replicate their process of harnessing the drives' energy. Child's play. Afterwards, it's a matter of seeing what I can actually do with it; probably just as trivial. Probably.

Up until now I haven't really had the chance to do much with these, save for giving them to Chao. I've seen these things power G.U.N. machines, but only as a straightforward power source. We've seen different kinds of drives have different impacts on Chao. I wonder if I can tap into that somehow...

Someone may or may not have stumbled upon a HUGE cache of Chaos Drives. Not saying who but their name starts with a T. They will be experimenting with these.

//trying to pin point how this tails looks without art of my own is a problem //the only (formerly) official design of an adult tails is from 30 years later, an arc of archie i don't like by principle for a lot of reasons. //he's also 41 here, and not his early 20s like i depict him.

Maybe I need a vacation...my head has been stuck in all this work and I have barely given myself time to breathe, save for the times where people have needed my help. Not to say I don't enjoy helping! Just- need to get some R&R or else I'll go stir crazy again.

// glad to hear that everybody had a lot of fun with the Eggman nonsense yesterday! sorry i wasn't around to take part in it. i had a particularly horrendous day that really brought me down. hopefully the next time something like that happens i will be around for it.

I think I might have made T-Pup...more "pup like" than I thought. Lately he's been bringing in all sorts of stuff to the front door of the lab: Anywhere between sticks, some trash, and just now? A whole potted plant. I admire his enthusiasm, but I'm sure whoever owned that plant wasn't happy.

I was knee deep in contract work, and also got stuck for a couple days on a research trip in Frog Forest. A band of Egg Pawns in the area smashed my tech where I was camping out! Thankfully I had the supplies to rough it, and I moooostly remembered my way around the place from years ago.
