RSF’s Erol Önderoğlu: “It is unacceptable that French journalist Raphaël Boukandoura faces risk of deportation after being taken into custody while reporting on protests in Sarıgazi, Istanbul. Boukandoura is not a protestor and cannot be treated as a criminal. This grave injustice must be reversed.”

RSF’den Erol Önderoğlu: İstanbul Sarıgazi’deki eylemi haberleştirmek isterken gözaltına alınan gazeteci Raphaël Boukandoura’nın sınırdışı edilme riskiyle karşı karşıya kalması kabul edilemez. Boukandoura eylemci olmadığı gibi gazeteciye suçlu muamelesi yapılamaz. Bu ağır haksızlıktan dönülmelidir.

FMA joins other press and freedom of expression organisations in calling on Turkish authorities to remove a reported anti-LGBTQ+ provision from the 11th Judicial Package that would restrict and possibly criminalise media reporting on the community. #pressfreedom
