As someone who collected rare pulpy sci-fi books. I’m disgusted to hear AI companies are buying up books, including old and rare books. They are chopping the spines offs, scanning them in to feed the machine, and then destroying these old texts entirely. This is not presevation This is dystopian

Every Sunday I’ve been spending at a local Card Shop. The owners are so nice! But I spend a good 3 hours just working on art. I think I have 4 new sticker designs! I’m kind of excited for that. 2 are of my OC, and 2 are fanart. Now to scavenge for money. I don’t have any right now.

Just hearing about a shooting incident where I’m from. The shooter is dead, but so are innocent people. Already heard a friends family member is at the scene as an EMT I can only hope among the dead and injured it isn’t anyone I know. When you grow up small town. Everyone kind of knows everyone

Been binge watching artist booth vlogs. I think for many years it’s been a dream to sell my art one day at a convention or similar fun event. But I lack products to sell. ( and money ) So I need to improve there first. Maybe some day I will do this. Need to doodle more

Can we have just one creative space without AI slop machines. I’m not surprised but just disappointed if the platform heads this way

Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

Finished reading the 2nd light novel of Apothecary Diaries. This makes my 11th book this year. This doesn’t count any manga I’ve read. Which is far more than the amount of books I’ve read. I can already think of 20 off the top of my head from one series. Manga is candy and it goes by fast.

In other news I went to my first eye appointment. Yes it’s my first. I’ve never had my eyes looked at. One eye is way worse than the other. Which I suspected. Then I left with prescription glasses. It almost makes me sick to wear them. I will do my best to get used to them.

Apparently where I live, we have the worst air quality right now. It’s been so dang Smokey. I makes me cough really bad. I’ve been wearing a mask when I leave the house. Everyday looks like I’m walking through silent hill.

“View from Orbit” starts playing Nostalgia fills my brain. Destiny really was just a special game when it started. Remembering the Test event. Just how clean the controls were compared to COD. Being At GameStop for the Destiny 2 release. Earning a raid jacket. This game had an impact on me.

I doodled so many fun things today in my sketch book. Tomorrow is when I do digital art and I can’t wait to see how these will turn out. Some of these could be such fun stickers. I’m now reading and waiting on my rice cooker. It’s a nice relaxing day for my body and mind.

Anytime I watch vlogs from artists. They always have a guest appearance from a cat. Is it an artist trait to always have cats? Stares at my own cat. He does bring joy and spontaneous events to my everyday life. I couldn’t image my life without a cat around.

Finished reading the first light novel of Apothecary Diaries. Loved it. I watched the corresponding episodes as I went. It’s interesting to spot the differences. Ended up ordering the next 2 books. I’m hooked.

I lied I read more after this post and before passing out in bed. Read 105 pages

My brain has been obsessing over Apothecary Diaries. I just finished season 2 and then I shriveled up and died on the couch for a bit when I realized I have to wait for season 3. Then impulse ordered the first light novel.

My speech and spelling have been really bad today. I’m skipping words when I speak out loud. And I’m misspelling some of the simplest words. I struggled with “User” for awhile. I don’t know why I was trying to spell it with 2 U. I think having so many days with migraines in a row is catching up.

Had a migraine after work yesterday. Hope today is much better. I wish I knew why I get them so much.

Had a dream I was trapped in a mall that was on a giant ship on the sea. But it was attacked by aliens and I had to hide. It was later learned the alien DNA was 98% human. And that lead to some peace on the mall ship. Was way more intense in my sleep. But that was the summary of it.

Why must I have dreams where my teeth fall out.

Spending my day cleaning. Someone had a pee accident when I was out of the house. And now I have to steam clean everything and hope I find it. My pets get anxiety when I’m not home. It’s doesn’t help that I work from home. So my presence is important to them.
