The SCREEN Act is not just another age-verification bill — it goes much further than anything passed at the state-level or in other countries. 1. The bill doesn't just target porn sites. It goes after *any* site that allows material "harmful" to minors. You'd have to scan your face to use Google.

I've given this advice something like 4 different critters over the past week or two, but if you're prone to depression or you have ADHD, you are going to be unproductive during a heawave. Plan for that going in - don't get halfway through a heatwave and beat yourself up over it.

I'm definitely in a mode right now where I'm going "I've got some commissions I'm working on a few I need to start, so I can't give critters estimates until I finish these" - even though I absolutely need to plan commissions *before* I finish my current queue so that they'll be ready to start.

It does come to my mind that a number of furries are probably literally too young to really clearly remember the Internet reaction and the *CORPORATE* reaction the first time that SOPA was proposed. It was massive, and it was wildly effective. The bills didn't have a chance in hell.

Bluesky's last statement they made about age verification laws practically endorses them - saying that the states they're complying with "strike the right balance" on a complicated issue. This has to be their problem too. So yes, DO cancel your Discord Nitro. DO call out companies. DO demand more.

Discord and Bluesky can't choose to just ignore the law, but to act like companies like Discord and Bluesky don't both have vastly more resources and political power than the average activist, and that they aren't also deeply entrenched in the capitalist systems that build these laws is naive.

Filters on the supporter feed are more precise for grouped pictures now <3 It used to be that if you had a picture with an alt and the alt was filtered, the entire group would be hidden. Now *only* the alt will be hidden. This is most relevant for tags like watersports that are usually alts :3
