23/24 Massive Data (xMins) #1 "No matter how sophisticated our choices, how good we are at dominating the odds, randomness will have the last word."

A few upgrades to the sites linear optimisation tool in advance of GW29 - Sensitivity Analysis added! - Chip plans now solved at once, rather than sequentially - Solver setting interface updated - Live output + ability to exit solves early added - Results now downloadable as a .jpg Details below

Step 5 of 5 complete✅ The Chip Timing function now has the Assistant Manager chip integrated. This is the last of the 5 milestones, though there are still a few bits and pieces to tidy up I'd suggest considering risk preferences when timing chips, as there will be big swings based on activation

Will get the new chip added in stages over the next weeks, expect it will look something like this: 1- Projections for managers added to site (by start of next week) 2- Enable using chip & picking manager (by end the of next week) 3- Link into Linear Optimiser (over Christmas)

Step 1 of 5 complete✅ Assistant manager projections are included on the site and will be influenced by custom fixture schedule % inputs These projections update hourly along with the rest of the data and will reflect the impact of results shortly after the game is finished

Visualising the strength of the Premier League "Big Six" with a long-term moving average of their xG dominance: a (logged) ratio of their xG relative to their xGA. For the first time in the last 6 years Man City are not 1st by this measure, but in fact 3rd behind Arsenal (1st) & Liverpool (2nd).

Line graph showing trends of moving-average xG:xGA ratio over time for "Big Six" Premier League clubs; commentary in post.

Salah and Haaland ownership% in Analytics Elite 64 and Elite64 minileagues Elite64 managers were less keen to start with Salah, but were quicker to pick him up for GW4/5, and much keener to double up with Haaland for that period. AE64 managers were quicker to drop Haaland for Salah in GW10.

A table displaying ownership rates of Salah and Haaland in two FPL manager groups.

Arsenal Predicted line up for this game week. Ordered by predictor skill. Thanks to all of our predicting team, @spacemanjonny & @JamesHancock97 for great work on the data preparation. I will share commentary to go with these predictions. Good luck this game week everyone! #FPL
