The question to me was if I wanted to talk to Kneecap for Austrian radio. The question over in Germany was whether one can or should. I’m glad I said yes because speaking to Móglaí Bap I found out a few things I hadn’t read elsewhere. Artikel und Radiobeitrag auf deutsch. fm4.orf.at/story/kneeca...

So unsettling, hope the issue gets resolved quickly, but what a nightmare for that family. Not to mention that this admin mess is completely unacceptable.

I can’t quite put into words what Ezra Furman’s music does to me & seeing her and her band play live is just the most life-affirming experience. Last week’s gig at Kentish Town Forum was no exception.
Will I make a gig a month this year? So far so good… Took a trip down to Kent last weekend for Suede kicking off their Antidepressants tour in Folkestone. What a night!
Reminds me of the time I got to interview Daryl Palumbo in my short lived side gig as a music journalist… he was such a sweetheart!

Hard no to this: French publisher Harlequin has told translators that their work will now be done by AI. They can ‘revise’ AI translations at much lower rate. It’s a subsidiary of Harper Collins so treat this as a test for rollout elsewhere

FYI: AI in education, ai teachers, ai degrees.. all of it is for the poor. The rich won’t be sending their children to schools full of screens and chatbot teachers. And they will be doing philosophy, business, international relations degrees. Not “ai”. It will be a sign of wealth to not use ai.
