Just imagine a world where surveillance cameras (e g. Flock), facial recognition, artificial intelligence and other technologies combine to form the Eye of Sauron, Big Brother and the eyes of everyone else looking to find something to "correct" or "adjust."

Donald Trump has what psychologists might call an EDIFICE COMPLEX.
With this, there is more than ample evidence to support the assertion that no quantity of valid, relevant evidence will ever quell Republican animus. This is especially true when those Rs are looking like the architects of our current misery. They sorely need a scapegoat, and they hope Fauci is it.

Presidential pardons a la Trump are nothing new. The Medici family used pardons called dispensations to reward allies who committed criminal acts on their behalf. A pardon should only be valid with the advice and consent of Congress. Our founders may have missed this but an amendment will fix it.
Because there is no realistic possibility of eliminating the Trump administration before 2028, the best and only strategy available is to remove as many Republicans from office as possible. Without those enablers, Trump can be effectively countered and neutered by active Democrats. Midterms are key.
Now you have to fear going to the emergency room because a private company working for the government will harvest all data from a visit, including name, address and other personally identifiable info. Who knows what purposes that data will be put to.
I have a new, better way to finance the US war in Iran: Every American billionaire will contribute 50% of their wealth immediately. The US government will take that wealth in whatever form it exists (stocks, bonds, etc.), liquidate it, and proceed with all deliberate speed on regime change in Iran.
Looks like Bibbi pulled Little Donald's chain after hearing about the Saudi nuclear deal. That started a chain reaction in Maga world that took him to task. TACO
The GOP definition of communism is more autobiographical than ever. Highlights: Voter repression, police state Gestapo, taking stakes in private enterprises, and so on ad nauseam. Is their stated opposition to communism an instance of self-hatred?
The problem with US prediction markets is that there is no "house" that absorbs the loss when a bettor wins. Traditionally, the house is highly motivated to uncover cheating and has the power to mete out punishment, usually a ban. Prediction losses are absorbed by all other (powerless) bettors.
How does Trump plan to get public support and massive funding for his folly in Iran? Look for fatalities to rise and for Trump to "wave the bloody shirt."
What's the Democratic strategy for 2026 and beyond? Trump is not explicitly on any ballot, so voters have to grok the abstractions = active +/or passive support for his actions. More importantly, Democrats have to be for something that has local value. Emulate those Democrats who are winning.
Hegseth's campaign against "low T" may be just the beginning. It's not that much of a stretch to imagine that next up will be the ready availability of steroids for the troops. Maybe a mandate for some. Are we ready for "roid rage?"
I do hope that MSM and Independent journalists demand EQUAL TIME for the responses of the Democrats to be heard just as far and wide as this will go.
In Iran, Trump has painted himself into a corner. There are only two options available to him: humiliation and GBOGH (Go Big or Go Home). He would rather trash the US than suffer a humiliating defeat that he can't disguise as something else. Thus, he will eventually opt for GBOGH. Only Fix: Impeach.
US President Donald Trump said he would be reinstating a blockade of Iranian ships in the strait, with the US acting as its “guardian” and charging any other ships for passage. Right on brand.
McConnell Death Watch: It's not just truculence that explains why the McConnell team is not informing the public about his condition. There are important political consequences associated with the date a senator becomes permanently unable to serve their constituents. We need to know those dates.
Does this make RFK Jr. an accessory after the fact? If not legally then morally?
Donald J. Trump and his alter ego are "not concerned about anything" so there.
The party-pooper-in-chief has so fragmented our 250th birthday party that it has become a real downer for me. I wish it were otherwise but there is not enough time and treasure to clean up our be-soiled celebration this year. Perhaps we can reprise this after 2028. www.cnn.com/2026/06/27/p...
Ron Filipkowski reports below that Trump is trying to cover his tracks on farming losses caused by his tariffs. As we follow the money, lets note how agribusiness gets more than their fair share. Also, let me point out the irony of farmers on the dole who previously disparaged that status.
Toward what end(s) is Trump "buying time"? Mid-terms? What will he do when that time is up? Voters need tokeep these questions in mind. After the mid-terms he may be unstoppable if we don't stop his enablers first. Throw the bums out!
Note "any means necessary." As they say, be careful what you wish for. Dumping the filibuster would empower a Democratic majority of just a few seats to have their way on every issue. Here, Trump is showing his willingness to gamble longer Republican futures to save the much shorter Trump future.
As we all know or should know, secret agreements aren't worth the paper they are written on.
The Washington Monument reflecting pool algae and the recent victories of Iran illustrate Trump's forte so very clearly: there is no situation that he cannot make worse.
Under the 22nd Amendment, if a VP takes over the presidency at the two-year mark or later, they can still run for two more terms. It's rather frightening to consider the possibility that Vance could become the incumbent president next year and then potentially hold office for a total of 10 years.
CNN: The US official told CNN that the text reflects the agreement signed digitally by President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Iranian parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on Sunday. How valid is this if not signed by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran?
Trump has clearly entered a bunker mentality state. He "loves the inflation," is bombing Iran and obviously cares not a whit about the impacts of these moves on his constituency, the American people. You may not be able to reciprocate but you can act against his active and tacit enablers. Go get 'em
