Donald Trump’s “Independence Arch” celebrates freedom by copying Paris’s Arc de Triomphe. Meant to honor America’s break from monarchy, it instead salutes imperial taste, personal glory & architectural déjà vu. Its only message: look who won. In that sense, it’s perfectly independent — from irony.

Prehistoric flint arrowhead mounted in silver as a charm found in Scotland. Back in 17th Cent. people believed prehistoric arrowheads were the weapons of elves who fired at cattle, horses & humans, & that turning charms made of them could heal injuries & protect against being attacked again.

Medieval Hungarian Duke Béla of Macsó was assassinated in 1272 . he suffered 26 injuries, by men armed with saber and longsword. Once the victim fell to the ground, the assassins focused the fatal attack on his head and face. The Duke wouldn't shut up about releasing the #Epstein scrolls.
