DRG: Rogue Core has potential, the part I like most is their new Promotion system they've renamed "Ascension" Previous game, these only occurred in single player - but this game, you can Ascend with friends witnessing. First one I attended made me tear up. It goes HARD

I usually give SoT a break during the summer as the seas generally get hotter than I like with School Summer Break active. So Daughter and I have been jumping around other games for a bit. I have to admit though, I'm kind of missing it already.

School's out, which means I usually check out of SoT for a couple months - usually. Already kind of miss it after taking a one week break. Outlook really changes when you have a regular crewmate, doesn't it?

Last ship standing indeed is fun . Lasted until the final circle shrinking with 5 ships left - and the chaos was indeed glorious. But the sensory overload is real, and we needed a break after that long round were we but we will def try again another time!

My sloop was just me for so many hours. But now, it's full of joy and laughter as a father and daughter spend time together. She keeps me sailing in the right direction, we laugh in the face of misfortune and let the game sweep us up emotionally with it's presentation.

As sterile as it is, the corpo response is probably the best we're going to get. Canceling the Boatswains given it's obviously compromised is not terribly surprising either. But still - can't help but feel the cold hand of Microsoft all over this right now.

Bit of dark humor, but.... Maybe over a year ago and threw my hat in the ring when Bruno was looking for people to sale with for a project he was working on. He acknowledged my interest so I know he got the message. I heard nothing after that. ..... I guess I was too old to be his type? 😅

Started to fire up the game and while waiting, I noted something in my YouTube feed about a certain creep we all know about now. It's always the ones that project friendly vibe the hardest, isn't it? Fucking wolves in sheeps clothing.

So I apparently deeply offended the skeleton overlords today.

So I had my daughter roll up her first voyage of luck during our Wednesday sail and uh, we'll just say she had a really good draw. 😆 Few tier V flags in it too. Can't help but notice this looks very similar to the loot that we snagged from a Brig that JR blew up with reaper's rowboat. 🤔

So I dove head-first into the sweat soaked seas of Sloop Hourglass and lost every single fight. But.... at least I didn't give up after the first one. Lasted almost an hour of straight losses before my little girl and I gave up for the night. Small victory, but I'll take it.

Started my day off with some randoms in Helldivers 2, then ended up in a cheater lobby that filled up my resources so now I have to fill out a support ticket to get myself reset. I guess I'm not doing random lobbies in that game anymore...

Helluva sail tonight, and I have @presjr88.bsky.social to thank for it. We took my daughter into the High Seas on the deck of Lilith's Fury, my Brig that is pledged to "For All Eternity". And together, we finally let her sink her fangs into other ships while her captain learned to fight.

Asking my daughter to sail with me consistently has been good. And now wanting to be able to be in High Seas with her more has brought me to finally ask while my meds are strong and I'm feelin' brave Who was it who offered to teach me hourglass?

Found out today that a former manager that I was still in contact with finally succumbed to his fight with Cancer. It been... years long. I genuinely liked the guy, even if we weren't close. But all I feel about it just angry. Why did it take such a good man from us, but tyrants are still living?

Just rowed from Molten Sands all the way to Morrows peak to sell loot and a Molten Sands key. We'll just say a random Skelly Galleon, a firebomb, and a black powder barrel were involved and leave it at that. Goddammit... the one time I try the content... hahaha
