Ugh. I’m not seeing much generative art in my feed, so I searched for the hashtag and all I got back was AI and most of it was really, really bad. Where are my artist coders at?
Hey friends. Is video uploading broken on Bluesky? I keep trying and it doesn’t even look as if it makes any attempt. Just hangs. Am I doing it wrong? These are originally screen recordings from a Mac and I’m trying to upload from my iPhone. My network is fine AFAIK since everything else works.

Also, just to be clear, when artists do use AI, it’s highly unlikely that all that’s involved is “a prompt”. Neither generative art nor AI art should be trivialized this way.

An artist can spend a year or more perfecting an algorithm & bashing out GPU shaders just to have someone ask them what “prompt” they used. Sigh. 😔

They need to hear about how Conservatives & Trump are trying to undermine our elections.
