If you haven't heard of the Burkes, run in to grab one of their books. These father and daughter writers both write compelling mysteries with main characters you count as friends by the time you are done. Hurry, before another fan comes in and snaps these up!

How to do two things at once: shop at Kennie's and support the library. All you have to do is fill out a rewards sign up card at any Adams County branch, and Kennie's will donate 1% of your purchase.

Kennie's donates 1% of your total purchases to ACLS when you sign up.

Where do you love to read? Send a photo of yourself, a friend, or family member reading in a local Gettysburg business—a coffee shop, restaurant, bar, or brewery–and send it to friends@adamslibrary.org. We will feature it in an upcoming post and tag the business.

Look what just landed in the bookstore—one of the most riveting reads of 2024 and 2025. Propel yourself into the store if you haven't read it yet. If it’s gone, we have shelves full of mysteries. The bookstore is open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 to 4:30, and Sundays, 1-4:30.

The Friends of the Adams County Library volunteers staff the bookstore 7 days a week, pack thousands and thousands of books for the annual book sale, and put the fun in Fun Fest... all for the love of our libraries and our community. We're so thankful for them - and you - for staying involved!
