Cheryl and her son are on their way to visit her parents for what might be the last time... but what starts as a reconnection turns dark when Grandma and Grandpa aren't what they seem to be.  Tune in Frightday July 31st to hear this tale by Billy Mitch

For anyone listening today on Spotify. I have been working with Spotify. They apologize that the episode got distorted when it was ingested from the Podcast host. The file was re-uploaded and so re-ingested. Audio is back to where it was intended all along. Spotify purged the CDNs all fixed!

Some shows have next to no errors... but other shows are tongue twisters and it's always interesting to see how many mistakes I removed and the time it results in... yikes... still, you'll just hear the final program.

Another 4 chapters copyedited. Only a little over 100 pages till page 504, down from over 700. It's a helluva feeling to get a cohesive story plot to carry through believable characters in a solid world. It's all coming together so intentionally. It's a new joy I haven't had the pleasure of.

I know that writing a novel is a process. I know that each part of the journey has its rewards. But it's been a while now and I'm ready to be done and holding it in my hands, and people are telling me they like it. Yeah, I'm ready for that part. 🤞

"The moment you begin to censor the writer- and history bears this out in the ugliest of fashions -so begins a process of decay in the body politic that ultimately leads to disaster." ~Rod Serling Speech, Library of Congress (1968)

I worked on the show a bit, then read submissions. Now I'm working on a Sci-fi novel just because. My wife is in our room across the hall from my office. She lets out a big sigh... "Hooo". I shout back to her... "You have to shout 'Thundercats' first!" She replies... "I love you so much."

Ai Image generation is like hiring an artist / designer who can work at light speed but refuses to ask questions and is a horrible collaborator. A real artist would ask questions in a phase of the process called discovery. AI takes your money and says tough... this is what you asked for.

Greetings, curious listeners... Each season, I like to have a visual theme. This year's theme is 50s-style horror comics. I have loved watching the artwork evolve over this season's development. The site is really feeling cohesive this year. If you haven't seen the new pad, be sure to pop by.

It's so stressful writing rejection letters. I always worry that I'll be the catalyst that stops a writer from starting another story. Just because it's not a fit for the program doesn't mean you're a bad writer. It's me... not you. lol But I have to be true to the show. I just want everyone happy.

My condolences to Martin Short, Eugene Levy, Dave Thomas, Rick Moranis and Angela Martin for losing another SCTV alumnus. May Catherine O'Hara rest peacefully.
