I made a tail for the first time! It's the one with the gray tip, I'm very happy with how it turned out. The tail above it is one I bought in 2015 and used as reference.

Found this fella eating seeds from this dried sunflower. I believe they are a Lesser Goldfinch (Spinus psaltria), but if you ask me I think they're great.

#MFF has been a blast, I haven't attended a full convention like this since 2019. It's been exhausting but I had such a great time being a silly critter, seeing cool people and artwork, and yapping on the skybridge.

Flowers and views at the Spring Mountains in Nevada, just outside Las Vegas. The Spring Mountains are what's called a "sky island", an isolated mountain range where the highland environment is radically different from the lowland (in this case, the Mojave Desert). More details in the alt text :)
