GOP turnout in the VA Senate primary was abysmal. There were about 1/4 as many votes just in the 8th Congressional district Democratic primary (which was not expected to be close) as there were GOP votes statewide. Don Beyer alone got 1/3 the votes that the Republican senate nominee got statewide.

We passed a good bill in the House to sanction Russia and help Ukraine. The bill offered by the late Senator Graham is not that bill, it is a bill that would give Trump new powers to impose additional tariffs of up to 100% on U.S. trading partners without congressional oversight.

House Republican leadership just pulled their veterans bill from the floor. Losing control of the floor again after 3 days doesn't seem to bode well for their chances to pass reconciliation, their toothless stock trading ban, the NDAA, and a government funding bill in a single week before the recess

House Republicans held the first procedural vote of the week open for an hour trying to twist arms and horse trade so they could pass a rule to regain control of the floor. The rule vote is up now and a dozen or so Republicans are so far withholding their votes for it, so...

Well hello again, like the House of Representatives, I am also back today. In catching up I see that we've had just 11 voting days here going back to May 21, which given that the Republicans have a trifecta and June/July is normally the busiest time of the year here, is impressively bad!
