A Frogs Gent. Aspiring programmer of neat things.

Human preferences, especially concerning aesthetics, are not strictly rational, and that's probably fine, but it does mean you see a lot of arguments where people accuse other people of being hypocrites for disliking X when they like Y and.... Yeah, that's how that usually works.

Many jokes are good for a laugh, but sometimes people make jokes and then say "but this is actually true, there are people who actually think specifically this" and... I don't know if that's wise all the time. But of course, such is the nature of the human experience.

Okay but like, if every single time a woman goes to the doctor for any reason she's Aggressively Asked if she wants to try GLP-1s, you can see why that might be worth interrogating, right

If I keep seeing those Ironic AI-generated Slop Propaganda Posters I might start replying to them with The Spiral of Contempt. I don't begrudge anyone who finds them fun, but personally I consider them viscerally unpleasant.

Okay so Mythos is supposed to be this new AI model that's Too Powerful and the public shouldn't have access to it, but it's also Very Important that Anthropic tells everyone they have it, because... Because? I'm genuinely not sure what's happening here.

I still haven't done any vibe coding because I'm still in graduate school, so it's going to be very interesting when I finally actually Use The Thing and see what all the fuss is about. On one hand, I can't wait. On the other hand, it's going to be so weird.

A few random ones -Zin promised himself he wouldn't accept a promotion to S-Rank until he proposed to Kilika. Kilika knows this and thinks it's Ridiculous Man Pride Nonsense. -Estelle can beat Rean in a straight fight. -Prince Olivert and Schera's child is a precocious sort.

To any Trails fans; What are your personal head cannons? (Would throw mine in, but I've only played In the Sky and Cold Steel).

I try not to be a Luddite, but it does sometimes feel like whenever somebody articulates some criticism X of AI-generated code, a handful of people respond with "if you think X is a problem, you're Doing It Wrong" which... doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.
