Well, after cleaning that out I've still got a heavy misfire under idle, light load & ECU running economy level. This has possibly tricked me to think it's a gearbox issue, since misfire happens between 500-2000rpm. Normal economy driving. New gaskets shouldn't have leaked after 1.5 years 🙃

Hmmm... that gearbox electrical connector I think isn't meant to be drenched in engine oil, from a previously very leaky cam cover gasket turning to gunky dust.
Not the best start to the day, something's amiss in the daily. Seems to buck more under load and at lower speeds now, rather than struggle in N or P. Gearbox still seems to be strong, but potentially not quite right inside. Get it checked, big bill soon 🙃
A quick search and the top results for the lead journalist on this shows her work focuses almost exclusively on exposés of scandal and dark secrets. This seems like nothing but a fishing trip for material that paints furries in a bad light. No one should touch it with a ten foot pole.
