This week’s Keen on Trashleen ended on a strangely poignant, mercifully less disturbing note. For once, you don’t feel that familiar wave of nausea. Still, with six contestants left, there’s time yet. You start to sweat at the thought.

Bubba: Thanks, Trashleen. Friends? Trashleen: Of course! Bubba: Do I have to go film with Tits, or can I just go pack? I don’t think I can face the camera right now. Trashleen: Don’t worry about filming. I think Tits is having trouble getting off the sofa anyway! She seems to be wedged...

Bubba: I’m so sorry, Trashleen… you deserve better. Trashleen: Losing doesn’t make you less worthy of love! We're here because I’m hurtling towards forty, single, childless, addicted to nicotine, and at war with my toxic mother, but that doesn’t define me. And this competition doesn’t define you.

Bubba was heartbroken. He’d fallen for Trashleen from afar, dreaming of the day she might see the man behind the flip-flops. He’d hoped for just a little time to win her heart, but it wasn’t to be, and now he didn’t know which way to turn.

And the tide did turn, just not how Bubba hoped. One misplaced grip and he was suddenly back on the ground, dazed. He’d always imagined ending up flat on his back at some point during the competition… just not like this.

Larry clung to the wall with all the grace of a damp sponge, slipping and wobbling dangerously. Bubba, meanwhile, climbed with a quiet, unexpected determination; a man on a mission to finally turn the tide.

Bubba and Larry took their places on the climbing walls one final time. Their fate would be decided here. The wall was brutal enough without the added curse of unyielding formalwear and the crushing weight of sad moodlets.

Tits: What a perfect view! I do hope the seating isn't because of my...current condition. I’ll go to my grave in heels. Trashleen: I’ll pretend I don’t know what you’re implying.. and that it’s not part of some spin-off pitch.

Trashleen: And now we have Bubba and Larry! You’re both getting a little too familiar with this position; and trust me, it’s not my favourite. There’s only one thing for it… Bubba and Larry exchanged worried looks. A double elimination even after K. Howard? Trashleen: Join me outside.

Norm: It kills me to lie… but the longer I’m here, the harder I fall for her. Could we actually make it work; even with my original mission hanging over us?

Trashleen: Norm? You look disappointed — I appreciate that. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if you’re here for the right reasons. Norm: I promise I am! I’ve got what you need, Trashleen, just give me a chance! Trashleen: Good luck in the next challenge. You’re safe.

Dusty: I know, I know! I’ve gotta stop overthinking and just give it everything I’ve got. If Trashleen really got to know me, I think… I hope she’d like me.

Trashleen: Dusty, I feel like we’ve been here before. I want to get to know you, but you keep having near misses! With so few of you left, those slips could land you in the bottom if you’re not careful. You’re safe… for now.
