Democracy is the organized power of the masses to determine society’s direction, control the conditions of production, and transform social relations. A system that permits voting while leaving economic power concentrated in the hands of a ruling class remains democracy in name only.

Just think how bad the next U.S. president and administration will be. The dictatorship of capital is cracking under the weight of its own contradictions. As the system loses legitimacy, expect the ruling class to reach for harsher tools to preserve its power. History is accelerating.
