All private education and home schooling should lose accreditation. Only properly accredited, publicly-run schools should be allowed to issue degrees. A mandatory, high quality, well run, properly funded, universal public education system is the cornerstone of a functioning liberal democracy.

When I was a kid in Europe, nobody thought much about confederate flags. They were just an icon of Americana, like cowboys and Coke. Now, a lot of far right idiots have adopted it and you see a lot fewer of them as people figure out its meaning. Looks like someone didn’t get the message.
