Tech, Business, Product Management, Design ✍️ facet.ink

The beauty of the pre-AI world was that only the truly relevant things made it into production. Product teams had to be selective. Every feature had to earn its place. At Facet we use AI heavily in product development — but we try to keep that old mindset: Build less & build what matters!

Yay! Facet.ink just got its biggest update since we launched in 2024! 🎉 ✨ What’s new: • A major editor performance boost • A new slash command menu (type “/”) and foot notes • Notifications • Dark mode support • Full documentation A huge step forward — and there’s much more to come! 🚀

Late ’24 and ’25 felt like a moment for bold design moves - Jaguar, Apple’s Liquid Glass, nothing Phone (3). I’d love to see the same kind of fun, confident design progress again in ’26. Did anything else stand out beyond those?

Playing with agent engineering + Swift right now. CloudKit for sharing data between users (no backend, no infra) is growing on me. Lock-in aside, feels like a great fit for small AI-native apps. 😊

Chinese Checkers is a delightful board game with a beautifully elegant interface that every UI designer should know. The goal is simple: move all your pieces to the home base using two primary actions — hopping and stepping. That’s it.
