Returned to Middle-Earth and The One Ring #TTRPG tonight, running the new Starter Set for most of my usual Cthulhu crew. After a shaky start trying to explain and remember all the rules, we hit our stride and made it to Crann to finish off session 1 of 2. Looking forward to the finale! #ProDM #LotR

Nentir Vale 5E game took a breather after Keep on the Shadowfell to give #Daggerheart a try tonight. Ran Sablewood Messengers for 3 of them & they really enjoyed it a lot. Interest in trying Dying Spire in 2 weeks before continuing Thunderspire Labyrinth. We'll see. #ProDM #TTRPG

Returned to running games last night after a nice 10-day break and ended up in a session that was far more uproarious laughter and innuendo than productive. Sometimes, the group just wants to have fun goofing with each other. :) One small step closer to completing Phandelver & Below! #ProDM #TTRPG

Another weekend of fun #DnD games is almost done, with the Monday game to go. Moved my Saturday game up a weekend and cancelled a home game to give myself an actual weekend off next weekend. Been so long, I don't know if I'll know what to do with so much time between games (10 days!). #ProDM #TTRPG

Lots of interesting announcements today from WotC. Lots of frustration from folks, too. I'm very excited for Dark Sun & Greyhawk. #DnD Icons sounds intriguing and its great to see more official Dragonlance. The subcontracted material from Ghostfire, Kobold, and Visionary should be good. 1/2

14 D&D sessions in 7 days (& Call of Cthulhu the day before). Brain officially fried! Had a bunch of plans for today that have devolved into a much needed day of rest before doing it all again next week for week two of #DnD summer camps. That said, the kids were great in Week 1. #TTRPG #ProDM

This weekend's #TTRPG games hit harder, with some brutal beatdowns and boss fights that shook the players and had them worried! No better feeling than seeing them sweat! Tomorrow brings one more regularly scheduled game & the start of #DnD Summer Camps. 3 games in 1 day on Monday! Yikes! #ProDM

After two crazy weeks of #ProDM #TTRPG games, I'm on an unusual stretch of 4 full days off and its weird. :) I should be savouring it, though, as this weekend brings three games in a row followed by two weeks of #DnD Summer Camps in addition to my regular clients. This is the calm before the storm.

FRPG GM and Player Tip: Among the many things worth making note of while you play, keep track of amazing moments. A line of brilliant dialogue, a series of clutch die rolls, the moment when a campaign’s big secret is discovered — being able to look back and recall those things years later is a gift.

That's why I have over 50 for #DnD. Including a Halfling for every D&D class. :) I may also like making #TTRPG characters far too much. #HalflingsRule #ProDM #MayHaveAProblem

FRPG GM and Player Tip: When the opportunity presents itself to run an impromptu one-shot game, nothing gets in the way of that faster than having to create characters for said game. Always have a set of pregens or a number of backup characters you’d love to play sometime ready to go.

It never fails to surprise me when some #TTRPG players get far too mad that folks like me are offering a service to interested people that maybe can't find a game or want additional games and find $$ value in the time I spend prepping and running paid games. Damn, I wish more of my #TTRPG players would be willing to do this. While I've had some success, I just had a Cthulhu group that stuck with Cthulhu despite suggestions and some interest in The One Ring and Fallout. *sigh* #ProDM

After a quiet week, a double header of Father's Day Weekend #DnD! 1st, a special Dad game for a former client and his family. Ran Death-at-Sunset from Dragon Delves & they enjoyed it. Then, my Moonshaes game continued Dangerous Dernell & sealed a Dark Fey portal. Two fun #TTRPG sessions! #ProDM

Last night's Nentir Vale 5.5E #TTRPG was pure chaos thanks to the party rescuing and adopting Splug, this lovely pictured Goblin! What a blast this NPC was to play and will, hopefully, continue to be as the group explores this adaption of 4E's Keep on the Shadowfell (Orcus Conversion). #ProDM #DnD55

This past week has been sparse with a cancellation during my usually less busy week. However, I've used that time to dig into the #Daggerheart #TTRPG and work on what to do next with my #Cthulhu crew. #ProDM work is never done. And I got to play a bunch of #StarWarsUnlimited, which was fun!

I've been drafted to run the Free RPG Day Daggerheart adventure at a local shop on said day. Perfect timing, as I've spent much of this weekend reading the Corebook cover to cover. After my negative first experience at a DH con game, I will try and erase that with a fun demo session! #TTRPG #ProDM

4 years ago today, I was hired to run a "refresher" session of #DnD for the group that became the Door Crashers. That turned into a 2.5 year campaign & a #ProDM business that's still rolling. Grateful for the opportunity & for all the players that have played a #TTRPG at my table over those 4 years.

Finished up Call of Cthulhu's Order of the Stone by @chaosium.bsky.social on Friday. Fun little #TTRPG campaign that the crew enjoyed, as did I. Now to decide between more Cthulhu goodness or a detour to the Federation with Star Trek Adventures by @modiphius.bsky.social. Choices choices! #ProDM

Another busy #TTRPG week & a half ends this afternoon for this #ProDM, as my #DND Rime of the Frostmaiden group meets again. Had a great time last night revisiting #Shadowrun with an awesome group of players. Phandelver Phriday was fun, as was the penultimate #Cthulhu on Wednesday. Good times!!

Won some store credit at the #SWU PQ, so I took the plunge and picked up #Daggerheart #TTRPG. Despite a very bad first session at Terminal City Con, I want to like the system & give it a fair shake. It uses FFG Star Wars/Modiphius 2d20 style mechanics, which I like, so the pedigree is there. #ProDM
