My boss is looking at a really nice OTTB with ties to a breeders cup classic winner. She’s such a pretty mare, and I’m admittedly excited. I’d love to work with a mare like that, only time will tell. I’m officially moving next week and I can’t wait to get back to work
So my boss has decided to buy two more OTTB and mentioned she’s preferring thoroughbreds lately. I told her that was awesome and I was excited then she hit me with a huge deal. Admittedly I was shocked considering I haven’t been working with horses that long but I’m also incredibly flattered.

Also yeah sorry I’m 4’11 ,so any pictures of Bernie make her look like a dinosaur because she’s an OTTB. She’s huge compared to me
I went to visit my girls Blue and Bernie on Sunday because I miss them. I was worried we’d have to restart building a bond but they both clearly remembered and missed me. Scratching their head on me, sharing breath, whinnying and so many pet requests. 🩵 💛
TW; animal death Sadly one of the foals passed away at the ranch, I’m currently in the process of moving so I wasn’t around but my boss texted me about it this morning. There have been some other issues as well with Blue which makes me worried. It’s hard being away from everything for sure
I miss the horses so much already. I’m in the process of moving to my ranch to be closer to work and have my own land for owning a horse. I’ll still see the horses a little this month, but I officially start work back in August. It’s a big move and I only have like a month to do it
Fat Horse No. 11 It’s the year of the horse and I’ve always been a horse girl at heart, so I’m finally taking advantage of the excuse to fill the world with fat little horses! These felted friends are the size and shape of an apple, and if you have any apples to share I’m sure they’d help you out!
Rewatching Cinderella grey punched me so much harder than I was expecting now that I have a grey horse that wasn’t deemed good enough when she was younger. I know Blue is like god this human hugs me and cries a lot, I’m just so happy I got to meet her. She’s such a special horse to me
Thank y’all for all the love on the horses I work with, it makes my boss so happy that everyone seems to love them as much as we do 💕
I found out that Blue’s archenemy is Prim. I was telling my boss that prim only likes me 50% of the time and the other 50% she avoids me like the plague. I realized it depends on if I handle blue first if she likes me or not that day. If I smell like Blue she can’t stand it 😭 lol
I got to help with Harley today! She’s blind in one eye and extremely sweet. She’s one of the pregnant mares at the ranch
Nova will turn grey like her mother Star and I think that’s so interesting. She has something called goggles which is a strong indicator for the greying gene
I’ve really enjoyed helping take care of a future generation of rodeo horses and their mothers. I love working with the mares so much! I actually have a much harder time bonding with the geldings on the ranch lol
Ohh my boss is going to officially put me in charge of the horse ranch’s social media in August! That means I get to take a lot more videos/pictures and interact with the mares and foals even more yiipeee
