We’re proud to endorse these candidates running to continue building on the progress we’ve seen in Maine. With their leadership, Maine will be even safer and stronger. We’re excited to keep partnering with them to push more lifesaving gun safety laws across the finish line.

Seven years ago today, a white supremacist shot and killed 23 people and injured 22 others at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas. The shooter travelled more than 10 hours to target the Latino community in El Paso.

Multiple people were killed and at least two others were injured earlier today in yet another senseless mass shooting, this time at an In-N-Out in Twin Falls, Idaho. America’s gun violence crisis is out of control. We need immediate action now.

A spokesman for Twin Falls cautioned that the number of victims was “expected to be higher.” The police said the shooter was dead.

Voters in Colorado Springs want change. I believe @killinforco.bsky.social is going to fight for them in Congress with the grit and compassion needed to get the job done. As a mom, army vet, and a proud Coloradan, Jessica is exactly the leader needed to build safer communities for all.

Gun violence has plagued Colorado for too long. While the state has made progress in recent years, there’s still so much more to do. We’re proud to endorse these candidates who have proven they will stop at nothing to save lives and build the safer, stronger state all Coloradans deserve.

I had a lovely time stopping by my friend @mannyrutinel.bsky.social’s office yesterday and meeting the team putting working to flip Colorado’s 8th district. Together, we can send Manny to Washington where he’ll fight for the safer future all Coloradans deserve.

I have no doubt that these leaders are exactly who we need in Congress fighting for our safety at this critical moment. I am proud to endorse them and look forward to working with them to pass the gun safety laws that will keep our kids and communities safe.

With Donald Trump catering to his gun CEO friends & unravelling critical gun safety protections, it is more important than ever that we reclaim a gun safety majority in the House this November. We’re proud to endorse these new gun safety champions as they work to win seats in Congress & save lives.

I'm heartbroken for everyone affected by the shooting at the Bite of Seattle festival. Community events should be places where families make memories, and our kids can simply be kids—not places where people are forced to run for safety.

I'm grateful to be at @giffords.org's 2026 Community Violence Intervention Conference with people across our country who dedicate their lives to saving lives. Real change starts in our communities, and because of you, I know a safer future is possible.

I’m heartbroken to learn that nine people were shot early this morning in downtown Tucson. Too many lives have been changed forever because of America’s gun violence crisis, in my hometown and across the nation.

33 years ago today, a gunman opened fire at a San Francisco law firm, killing eight people and injuring six others. Their colleagues founded what is now the GIFFORDS Law Center to honor them with action and the gun safety laws proven to prevent such tragedies.

Gun violence disproportionately impacts Latino communities, stealing thousands of lives each year. The Latino community deserves leaders in Washington who are committed to fighting for their safety. The gun safety champions we're endorsing today are exactly those leaders.

We’re proud to endorse this slate of gun safety champions and LGBTQ+ advocates. Safety and belonging are inseparable—and as we mark Pride Month and 10 years since the Pulse nightclub tragedy, we’re reminded of what’s at stake.

Eleven years ago today, nine Black worshipers went to Bible study at Mother Emanuel AME Church and never came home. They were shot and killed by a white supremacist who never should have been able to access a gun. One other person was injured and an entire community was irrevocably changed.

15 years ago today—after five long months of beginning to relearn how to walk and talk—I was released from TIRR Memorial Hermann. I’ll always remember how it felt reaching this milestone as I readied myself for the road ahead.

Today, I’m mourning my friend Melissa and her husband Mark, as we mark one year since they were assassinated in their home. Melissa was a dedicated public servant who worked every day to improve the lives of Minnesotans. That should never have cost her or her husband their lives.

I’ll never forget the heartbreak I felt 10 years ago today when 49 people were killed and 53 others were injured in a hate-driven shooting at Pulse nightclub — the deadliest single attack on the LGBTQ community in our country’s history. They were celebrating Pride, and they should have been safe.

Today, I joined survivors and families in Orlando for the 10th annual Baquiné, a beautiful celebration of life in memory of the 49 lives stolen at Pulse nightclub 10 years ago. Love is always stronger than hate. Together, we can build a future where we are all safe to love free from gun violence.
