Stolen message I sent on Discord: Commander content is essentially the Porn of MTG. It's all glitzy and glamorous to appeal to the masses and get them to want it, but once you actually do it yourself.... The whole experience is a lot more messy and awkward than what you saw online.

Andrew Liptak@andrewliptak.com · 2w agoI get that Musk is always talking out of his ass when it comes to things like this, but I've been getting more and more perplexed at the idea that historical / scientific accuracy automatically equals a better story and that failure to perfectly capture the world is an unforgivable sin.

So let's talk about words and their baggage in MTG. Over the weekend, WotC showed some cool new cards from The Hobbit set. Great! We love new cards! I play Mono White Frodo as a "Mathoms commander" or Equipment that costs 2 or 3. Much to my delight, a new Sting in the Mathom cost was shown!

Lol. Are commander players mad about a card that allows someone to splash another color? Really? These are the same players who run sub 35% of their decks as lands right? These are gonna come out, be for exactly the people they made them for, and change nothing. CID was always dumb.

The Halo: Combat Remastered feels as if George Lucas came out and touted the new scenes in the special editions as the sole reason people should buy them and watch them. Genuinely think those missions will be the worst in the game. None of them look correct.
@mtgarena.com Hey, can we somehow get replays onto the platform? I would love to watch some old games of mine and others.
Genuine question: Why did WotC decide to put a Spotlight Series in a city that legit gets a Magic Con every year? Wouldn't you want them more spread out to get more interest in big events in satellite cities? I don't understand.
But... We do need to become ungovernable.
