Got both our intercontinental flights rerouted and rescheduled for the next day because of domestic flights being late/cancelled, but phew... Back home after two weeks and extra adventures (the two typhoons accompanied by an earthquake were a bit too much at the end though, I was exhausted already).

Summer vacation started = finally time for the garden. Spent some 6+ hours outside gardening and everything still looks like it's never been taken care of (sadly no wild flowers, just overgrown brown grass... otherwise I'd leave it), ugh....

We don't allow dogs in bed at night, but in the morning it's becoming a routine to cuddle before getting up. This morning our brindle boys literally sandwiched me, with the new boy placing himself as tightly against my back as possible, and laying his head on my neck.

Getting along ❤️ Fénix has been wagging his tail and running around the house, really curious and excited, but slept calmly throughout the night. No issues with eating or sleeping in the same space. Dizer and Janus aren't entirely sure of the energy levels though 😂

Bad news from the orthopedist appointment.. My bones have extra growths. Glad to have an explanation to all the issues and pain I've experienced during the past decade, but.. fucking hard to swallow. On to MRI next and then I'll know if anything can be done...

An x-ray of a "normal" hip above and the same picture below where I've overdrawn the issues that were visible in my own x-ray. There are extra growths on both femurs, right side being a lot worse, the end of the right femur isn't round, and there's a bone fragment next to the left hip.

I missed my girl so much last night because Korppu isn't home... I realized the boys, even though they've made all this grieving easier, don't make me feel safe the same way she did.. As if she knew, she visited me in my dream last night. I got to hold her close and slept without waking up ❤️

A little bit hopeful as a doctor finally took my hip issue seriously (i.e. actually took a good look at it) and concluded that there's something wrong with it. I got x-rays done and have an appointment with an orthopedist next week. Fingers crossed they figure out what's wrong...

I was seeking peer support, but instead got a hurtful comment about the quality of my work (from a person who doesn't know me, my work, the "normal" situation etc.)... Despite being overwhelmed with negative emotions, I managed to tell them I was hurt by their comment...

Oh my god... I've never EVER heard anyone else say they can't play video games because they get motion sickness.. I thought I've been the only one... And Botany Manor has a whole section for options to reduce motion sickness while playing? Is this even real? 😭❤️
