This one is really interesting. It gives you a lot of information, but costs Suspicion, limiting how much other cheating you can do.
Poker becomes a lot easier when you can look at the cards you are about to draw.
Who runs our social media? I’ve never been more offended. But check it out if you want to hear me say “ehh” a lot.
Did our game designer make a 13-minute YouTube video claiming the game is balanced and that anyone claiming otherwise just has a skill issue? And is he referring to himself in third person on social media? youtu.be/pvQTPDpg824
This one was a lot of fun to make. Joachim absolutely nailed the art and animations as always. I also managed to sneak in two movie references here, including one from probably my favorite movie of all time.
El Deaderino has a fun little secret. Chip away at him a bit, and he’ll drop his defense next round. But be ready for what comes after. His true form hits hard. Turns out he’s not nearly as chill as he pretends to be.
I love how this cheat plays. It captures the essence of what The Devil’s Due is about. It’s not an abstract math puzzle where you calculate the perfect move. It’s poker, chaos, desperation, and trying to bend the madness to your advantage.
Shuffle Hands is pure chaos. Sometimes your opponent’s hand looks way more fun than yours. This cheat shuffles both hands together and deals the cards back out randomly. Sometimes it saves you. Sometimes it ruins you. It’s not always the smart play. But it’s always funny.
Working on a weird little prototype called Die Eater. You collect relics, feed them dice, and survive monsters. Very early preview build. If you have an unhealthy appetite for relics, I’d love your feedback. Fair warning: basically no handholding. rubarbgames.itch.io/die-eater

Roguelites should never have endless modes. I keep falling into the trap and play it, even though it’s the least enjoyable way to play them.
I think that “making games is hard” is one of the worst things you can tell an aspiring game developer.
Me: “I should confirm that fix works.” Also me: forgets what the fix was and just plays the game.
On my way to work for the first day of work in 2026. This year I will be releasing The Devil’s Due and Basalt: The Cursed Vein. And I am getting married. And turning 50. So yeah, I have high hopes for 2026.
There was an engine failure in the rented van about two-thirds of the way to Trondheim while I was driving my son to university there, and we had to switch to a slightly smaller van. Fortunately, we are very good at Tetris.
And yeah, I still play league 😂
In The Devil’s Due, cheating is a core mechanic… So, of course, we cheat during development too. Let’s turn on the debug camera to reveal how many “3D objects” are actually shameless billboards. Hell is held together with lies, cardboard, and duct tape. #indiegames #gamedev #godot
I can see why you would give that advice Grammarly, but as a maker of roguelites, synergies are the reason why my customers get up in the morning 😂
I want to play more indie Steam demos, so I thought I would start recording them. I’m not expecting to live off the YouTube views it generates, but maybe some of the devs will watch them. Stackflow was fun but a bit too easy. I think it was made by @caueferrareto.bsky.social youtu.be/zJiq6aOFE-Q

My Submission to the GMTK Jam. Had a lot of fun making this one. And who would have thought that I was actually somewhat of a capsule art maker myself :D mortiperius.itch.io/time-looped
So the day after we release the release trailer for SpreadCheat, Viken filmsenter drops that @derek-lieu.com will be joining Spillkonvent this year! Are they trying to tell us something?1?
Career goal - Make gameplay trailer that is so good it gets accused of being cinematic mock-up trailer.
Exactly. We simply can't afford to make a "cinematic trailer" — every dollar* counts! So we focus on game development and in-game assets, and build our marketing on whatever we can pull together from that 🫡 *kroner
GDC was great, except that I don't socialize and prefer watching lectures on YouTube, and finally revisiting San Fransico after nine years was sad.
3D Peggle was not nearly as fun in the prototype as it was in my head. I guess that’s a good thing - I don’t need any more game ideas that I want to put into production.
She: Talk dirty to me Me: I only type my variables so I can get autocomplete
Italy is lucky that FIGS is such a catchy acronym, 'cus those Italian sales certainly aren't justifying any extra translation costs :)
Gameplay prototypes should use programmer art. Production value is a trap!
Achievements - Getting Data Without Analytics We add achievements to our Steam demo for SpreadCheat and designed the achievements so we get good funnel stats - without having to implement a tracker or ask the players for consent!
I knew we had found the right PR partner when they suggested making the press release as a spreadsheet!
This was one of our more original Press Releases 😆 for Spreadcheat by @gamespeopleplay.bsky.social, we sent out our press release... IN A SPREADSHEET 🙃
I did not. They are also giving off some "Killer in the Cabin" vibes in the pictures, so they must be die-hard fans.
Did you know the Alan Parsons Project made a tribute album for our game studio? Like, actual legends tipping their hats to us. Wild, right?
Engangment on Bluesky vs Twitter. Our Twitter account has 200 followers, and Bluesky has 15.
Made an account for Games People Play, and added a startpack for the Norwegian game studios on the platform. Let me know if there is anyone I missed.
Made a list of the Norwegian Game Studioes on Bluesky. Let me know if I missed any! go.bsky.app/FboPCsA
Creating a cozy game has been such a fun challenge. It has made me rethink a lot of what I’ve learned about game development, especially how to make things enjoyable and rewarding without relying on difficulty. But without a doubt, my favorite part is the audience. Love the positivity and kindness!
