Hunter Chronicles: Tara and Vyn OST: Exploring Asteria (Overworld Theme)

The overworld for this game is one of the things we'd like to focus on a lot during development - we plan for it to be a sprawling, massive open area full of platforming challenges, optional mini-dungeons, caves and other places to explore, as well as unique enemies and optional mini-bosses. For a place like that, I really wanted to capture a sense of exploration, wonder and excitement, and when I think to a game series whose overworld themes consistently nailed that - I think of Xenoblade, and as such, this theme was inspired a lot by it's themes, mainly Gaur Plains and Gormott (especially Gormott xD) The overworld is not the only place to be explored though - it's an area filled with mostly optional segments, which connects the main 6 areas of the game. It's something to return to and explore at your leisure in-between the main story beats! As such, I would like the theme for it to not get old too fast, so I tried my best to extend the song as much as I could - and ended up with making the theme almost 6 mins before the loop, which I'm very proud of. ------------------------- Hunter Chronicles: Tara and Vyn is an indie game inspired by the Mario and Luigi series - primarily developed by me and MaxLos.
