Gardening is my jam. No thyme for nonsense in my little blue 🔵. A Cairn Terrierist & a mini-Aussie rule my life. All garden & pet photos are mine unless I'm reposting.
You know, the thing is, I had drafted this piece a month ago, and then never published it, because I thought maybe it was too mean.
I'm sitting under the eaves drinking my ☕ on this glorious, cool rainy morning. 1.5" so far. Jordi is staying dry near me, but the little scamp, Archie loves the rain. #rainyday #CairnTerrier
Look at the shabby state and increasingly authoritarian trajectory of the country and ask yourself if we can endure 2 more years of a lawless Trump administration wreaking havoc with no check from Congress, then vote accordingly. This is not the time for a protest vote or purity politics.
Before the weather change tonight, I have so much to get done. Finish topping garden beds, staining, finding and sorting frost coverings, and storing bamboo stakes. My helper pups supervising. 🌱#gardening
More photos from my morning ☕ stroll. A cold front moves in tonight bringing rain and very cold temps, with a chance of first frost this weekend.
Hey Dad, I've watched your every move making that PBJ sandwich. Are you sharing? Archie #TerrierTuesday #CairnTerrier
🥵 it's 88° and Jordi has been my sidekick today as I out another truckload of soil, topped off more garden beds, turned one compost pile, stained flowerbed landscape timbers and a gate, more staining on the pergola, and dug up and divided perennials. Whew! #gardening
#Caturday Miss Sophie grooms her best friend, Poppy. We adopted them both from a rescue 18.5 yrs ago. Poppy has slowed down with age, but little Miss Sophie is still kitten-like in so many ways.
Unloaded yesterday's pickup truck load of topsoil/compost mix 1 at a time. Topping off 4x8 raised bed. Spread 1" of my own 2 yr compost on top. Got another truckload this morn to top off more beds. This old lady is turning 66 in a few days,& this kind of hard work keeps me young(ish).😛 #gardening
Lovely evening to sit in the courtyard and watch the wildlife. There were 3 bucks fighting with loud clashes of antlers. This guy seems to have fought the others off and is approaching the doe. Her Spring twins are just out of camera shot.
Nothing to see here...just the President of the United States inviting the country he illegally declared war on to "take out" 2 major American cities. If that's not treason, what is? 🤬 Law enforcement won't hold him accountable, but we WILL! The beginning of the end is on November 3rd. #VOTE-BLUE 🌊
Late fall blooms seen on my morning ☕ stroll through my gardens. Step away from doom scrolling and enjoy some nature this Sunday morning. We all need to recharge & take deep breaths for what awaits us in these next 30 days. #gardening
My magnolia is a bit confused with our weird Springlike weather this Autumn.
#Caturday My GrandCat is a huge #MaineCoon. From his perch he loves to watch the construction outside my son's high-rise window.
On my way to my appointment to get the girls smooshed in a vice. What fun 😵💫 things do you have planned for today?
