I don't understand why GGG would do this. The forums have YEARS of information that's just gonna get absolutely wiped out by this. And I sure as hell know that whatever this new guild thing provides will never be able to make up for that. This feels like RPGMaker enshittification :(
GotchaGotchaGames dropped today that they're shutting down the official rpgmaker forums next week, and taking down access entirely come December... Final Profit wouldn't exist without these forums, there's so much knowledge about to be lost. I'm mortified. forums.rpgmakerweb.com/forums/impor...
This sucks. Being an RPG Maker user, especially of any of the old ones that are, mind you, still OFFICIALLY for sale, is already harder than it should be because of an insane amount of dead script and asset links. That doesn't mean they should have to tear the whole thing down.

do not let @dcellgames.com deceive you about unbeatable custom charts only working on windows they also work on the ds
this tdov you should check out bygone snow and garenburg penitence on steam because that'd make me very happy
is it narcissistic to put your own game on your nine games list like it's accurate that's why i spent 5 years making it but still also this is hard if it was like 20 games it'd be so much easier i love video game
How has so much happened this year already we're not even done with two months of 2026 yet
Quoting this so other ppl can see it. If you want to support indie devs the best way to do it is to review their games on Steam, because games get a visibility boost the more reviews they have. You don't need to write a long review for it to 'count' either, a single sentence is enough.
@ebihimes.bsky.social hi I have never written a Steam review ever, but I'm seeing that it would help you (and other indie devs) if more people did And I was wondering what is a valid review for Steam, do I need a wall of text like most people do or does a two sentence thing is enough to be counted
i can finally rest now (this took forever to get all of these up) video game development

gamedev is so fun until you realize your "almost complete" project dropping shortly has a checklist of like 30 more things to do and none of those include additional testing and bugfixing and typohunting and—
working on this giant game collection of all my old stuff has led me to both appreciate how much better my newer stuff is and also be shocked at how comically bad some of the older games are
Out of the Ocean has been released! It's a cute, wholesome yuri story with two heroines (including a mermaid!), a poly ending, and a lot of adorable artwork. You can find the VN on Steam and Itchio! 🫧 store.steampowered.com/app/3616970 🫧 ebihime.itch.io/out-of-the-o... #yuri #yurivn

2025 is weird. A lot of horrifying things have been happening in the world. Can't ignore that. But I can say I've had a lot of accomplishments too. I finished my dream game, I published a novel, and put out an award-nominated vn that made people cry. I'm really lucky there. Time keeps going on by.
"passerines in end times" is a short visual novel about two strangers becoming friends after the apocalypse, made for the 2025 winter vn jam. it's now available to play for free! #wintervnjam #visualnovel #indievn
Polar nights and the endless darkness not enough for you? Try Void Stranger/ZeroRanger as well, now on sale.
random thought... sometimes i see people leave negative reviews on v small indie games on steam w/ sub 10 reviews to the tune of "i mostly liked this but there are some small things that bothered me so not recommended. i wish the devs luck in the future & hope they keep making games!"
I wasn't looking at bluesky for one day thanks to just playing unbeatable nonstop and catch up and see its all talks about ai, what happened
