Medium small. Hoping to be renewed for a 32nd season. Garuto. Listen to @tnahistorypod.bsky.social.

Fundamentally disagree: The internet and the world in general would be a much better place if the basic model of the internet started at the position of paying a nominal amount for websites instead of it all being ad supported. The faster we kill ad supported the better.

A robust ecosystem of ad-supported content means that more content is created that does not rely on paywalls that exclude most of the audience or on subsidies from billionaires bsky.app/profile/mrwa...

There's a moment you see all the time where somebody allows a thing they used to like to be increasingly defined by the parts of it they don't like more than they do like, and you know it's over for their love of that thing.

This is the same way people treated TNA: in 2006 it was a CONSTANT talking point that doing 1m+ people on Spike TV every week wasn’t enough. There is simply no concept of a healthy number two to them. It’s either WWF vs. WCW level competition or bust. They can’t help themselves.

If wwe is " infinitely bigger" than aew then what's the point in trying to beat them? Why cant aew just do what they've been doing? I swear these podcasters are obsessed with the idea of Monday night wars. #Aew

I’ve noticed this weird phenomenon with North American crowds over the last few years where even during matches or shows where they react to moments and are into it, there’ll be periods where they still go dead quiet for stretches. It creates a strange atmosphere at times.

This is a strange England team in that it’s maybe the worst overall tournament team in ages but the most two individual players have shown up for them in a tournament in ages - and it seems that might be enough.
