The GCW worked shoot based on this chair thing is going to be unbearable.

Fundamentally disagree: The internet and the world in general would be a much better place if the basic model of the internet started at the position of paying a nominal amount for websites instead of it all being ad supported. The faster we kill ad supported the better.
A robust ecosystem of ad-supported content means that more content is created that does not rely on paywalls that exclude most of the audience or on subsidies from billionaires bsky.app/profile/mrwa...
ICYMI: Our February 2007 episode is OUT NOW!
Wrestling really is addicted to making what should be normal private conversations into big public social media spectacles.
Our Against All Odds 2007 episode is OUT NOW - talking Christian's mystery consultant, Abyss' big secret and more! Apple: podcasts.apple.com/ie/podcast/y... Spotify: open.spotify.com/show/2FYGCnw... YouTube: youtu.be/UHEGHRPiqdU?... Red Circle: redcircle.com/shows/youve-...
It pretends AEW has an iron grip ownership over people’s time instead of them being normal adults who make their own decisions about whether they can watch full events in one sitting.
Is it just me or is the only people complaining about overruns and ppv lengths the people who make money covering wrestling? "I already have to watch so much, AEW needs to do less".
There's a moment you see all the time where somebody allows a thing they used to like to be increasingly defined by the parts of it they don't like more than they do like, and you know it's over for their love of that thing.
This is the same way people treated TNA: in 2006 it was a CONSTANT talking point that doing 1m+ people on Spike TV every week wasn’t enough. There is simply no concept of a healthy number two to them. It’s either WWF vs. WCW level competition or bust. They can’t help themselves.
If wwe is " infinitely bigger" than aew then what's the point in trying to beat them? Why cant aew just do what they've been doing? I swear these podcasters are obsessed with the idea of Monday night wars. #Aew
And thank you as always to @senanrogers.bsky.social for an excellent poster this month.

This match has Christian Cage joining the club of those who have wrestled in Madison Square Garden, Arena Mexico, Wembley Stadium and the Tokyo Dome.
There are grown adults out there that presumably have jobs and responsibilities that cannot understand the story of pro wrestling matches unless it contains a monologue that explains the story to them.

Wrestling companies have an inexplicably long history of replacing great wrestling themes with much worse songs.

I’ve noticed this weird phenomenon with North American crowds over the last few years where even during matches or shows where they react to moments and are into it, there’ll be periods where they still go dead quiet for stretches. It creates a strange atmosphere at times.
You can tell Shida is a heel because she has a match on PPV and she's not dressed like Tifa.
The Splatoon series is so good at turning shooter mechanics into delightful platforming challenges.
It's quite funny for this to be in the Joe/Necro episode and not the prior two episodes.
Deeply analysing which players are most excited to shake Trump’s hand.
I will not hear a single solitary word against the 3rd Place Playoff again. A weak mindset to dislike it.

Have to say parking the bus as early as 65 minutes was a choice, even if it largely worked against Mexico and Norway.
It’s crazy how Gianni Infantino is shown on camera in literally every single game. The man has turned the biggest sport in the world into a personal vanity project.

This is a strange England team in that it’s maybe the worst overall tournament team in ages but the most two individual players have shown up for them in a tournament in ages - and it seems that might be enough.
The amount England have shamelessly tried to manufacture penalties when in strong attacking positions in this tournament is so deeply unlikeable.
I think this is the best AEW Dynamite review I've done in a while. I already feel like I do the best and most in-depth weekly Dynamite reviews out there, but this week feels extra good. It's a good week to start listening! 🤼 (also on podcast apps) youtu.be/qBnsJwLQMiE
