Blakean Aspiring poet Evidence, truth, kindness, love, common purpose. As far left as this sad world will allow.
Just heard BBC #R4TODAY tribute to Mel Brooks. Was surprised they didn't have Farage or Badenoch in the studio as 'balance' to tell us why he's not that funny.
Turned on BBC TV News to witness a tidal wave of negative comments, quotes from the industry, and curated vox pops decrying the under 16 social media ban. With no other framing, interviews with ministers, campaigners, or those who have suffered tragedies.
If only the BBC would interview good people who have 'legitimate concerns' about living alongside racist thugs.
You can't listen to #BBCR3 without being assaulted with shouty adverts for R5 coverage of the World Cup. Such disdain for their core audience.
Justin Webb #r4today arguing that we must be concerned about asylum seekers being a danger coming from violent regions - having spent 5 minutes excusing 'indigenous' masked rioters who enact a progrom, smash and burn streets and make families flee in terror. Make it make sense.
Justin Webb on #R4Today arguing that "pressures on housing provides a context for the violence and applies across the UK".
According to reporter on #BBCPM the racist riots in Belfast are "nuanced" because of "concerns about crime associated with immigration".
BBC radio #WATO seemingly flummoxed as to why people are unaware the immigration figures have plummeted. They ought to chase up the state funded national broadcaster and ask them why.
@countarthurstrong.bsky.social Just to let you know we've got our tickets for Tyne Theatre next year. Can't wait.
Notice how Starmers glasses weren't attacked because he broke the rules, but because he did it. With Farages £5m the issue is solely whether he broke the rules, not about the money...
Just like to share one of the most overused and necssary rules I learned in business. "The worst case always turns out to be way worse than any worst case scenario".
Just received the latest VALA in the post. As beauftiful and enriching as ever. Genuine treasure. Thank you! @blakesociety.bsky.social
This entire story is framed around Farage's perspective and quotes, not any objective truth telling. "Nigel Farage says it's not raining" they say, whilst drawing the curtains. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
No obligation to declare £5m gift, Nigel Farage says
The Reform UK leader says the gift was
bbc.co.uk
US children are growing up in a world where they carry documents and go to events and venues named to the glory of a proven and boastful sex offender. And this is normal and OK according to their parents generation.
It’ll be fun to watch them squirm when his name is expunged from everything but the Epstein files.
Dear Mr Ferrari @lbc.co.uk Most of us condemn all antisemitism regardless of where it comes from and when. Your willingness to promote Farage and Reform is just pure hypocrisy.
Listening to #robertpeston twist the knife into Starmer on ITV news makes me think of this image for some reason.
How come it's always the 'good guys' that need to destroy other countries and their people?
WTAF - #bbclaurak and the rest of the BBC fawning at the feet of Johnson yet again. Deeply embarrassing.
Can I suggest a definitive definition of 'woke'? It's someone who doesn't just not publish videos of black people as apes, or make excuses, or or blame others - it's someone who can't even comprehend that such videos even exist.
Looking for the line approaching that tells us we are lost, that we've gone too far - when the post war dream of common humanity and the victory of truth and love is finally gone. And realising we crossed that line some time ago...
Just watched Farage doing his ordinary chap just proud of his country schtick for his Party Political Broadcast. Serious question - was it directed by Chris Mason?
Wonder how Reform get away with their nastiest excesses? ITV local News has just reported that Labour and the Lib Dems have complained about some tweets posted by a Redcar candidate - whilst failing to mention what they were or even alluding to the content. Free ride.
Just heard Chris Mason's intro to Starmer's visit to China onR4 #WATO . Talking about him as if doing a voiceover to a true crime murder documentary describing the villain. Loathesome.
So in the middle of an international crisis Badenoch is briefing against her own country. www.theguardian.com/world/2026/j...
How Badenoch’s meeting with Mike Johnson led to Trump’s Chagos deal rant
A brief encounter set off a chain of events that culminated in a public rebuff to the US president from Keir Starmer

"US Vice President JD Vance says newly released footage shows the ICE agent was actig in self defence". This apparently is #BBCR4 impartiality and investigation of evidence. Gut churning.
The key question for Maduro right now is "how much will I have to give to Trump for my pardon?"
In this time of barbarians it makes turning to enlightenment and the best of human thought all the more important.
'The USA Seizes Control of the Worlds Largest Oil Reserves - 300 billion barrels'
The U.S. captured Venezuela's President Nicolás Maduro and his wife and extracted them from the country, Trump said.
