Mostly memes and shitposting, with maybe the occasional smidge of the cybers.

"We have a history of net losses and may not achieve profitability in the future." "As of March 31, 2026, we had an accumulated deficit of $41,311 million." If you're planning to invest in the SpaceX IPO, I've got a bridge to sell you, and some magic beans, and a goose that lays golden eggs...

At a cafe that pre-cooks their poached eggs. Is this as wrong as it feels or is it one of those kitchen cheats that everybody does but nobody talks about? Me [bemused]: huh, you pre-cook your poached eggs Staff: No, they're from earlier Me: ...😐

Why is "doing nothing" such an alien concept for some people? 🙍What are your plans for today? 🙍‍♂️Nothing What I mean is "I plan on doing very little of any merit" What I don't mean is "I have no plans and need you to suggest wholesome activities to fill every waking minute of my day"

Screenshot from Natwest online banking registration page. Passwords cannot be longer than 20 characters, cannot contain symbols or special characters.
When logging on you're asked to enter individual characters from the password, meaning they're not storing a one-way hash of the password and are storing it either in reversible encryption or clear text. This approach also breaks password managers because you can't copy/paste the full string.
I've checked and the password is also not case-sensitive.

Not to be outdone, Azure is going head to head with AWS for DNS related outages. Last week AWS took down Signal, Snapchat, Robolox, Fortnite, Lloyds and and Halifax. Now, Azure has taken down Heathrow, Minecraft, Natwest, Asda, O2, Starbucks and others. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Global Microsoft outage: Heathrow, NatWest and Minecraft among sites down

Microsoft 365 and its Azure cloud computing platform are hit with DNS issues, similar to Amazon's recent outage.

It's important to caveat statements like this that no one can access your comms *in transit*. Plenty of orgs may have access to your comms via your devices or the recipient's devices. To be clear, this is not a Signal thing, it's an electronic comms and E2EE thing.

📣THREAD: It’s surprising to me that so many people were surprised to learn that Signal runs partly on AWS (something we can do because we use encryption to make sure no one but you–not AWS, not Signal, not anyone–can access your comms). It’s also concerning. 1/
